KY fans may think they know what they're getting with Georgia and Coach Brooks but they don't. They're about to see a level of excitement and intensity they haven't seen in a while. Ga is not only an amazing player, but she has great on-camera charisma as seen here. The KY fans will love her at first sight. They won't understand Kenny Brooks for a season, but they will in March. Don't expect the same success with Ga off the bat. She had a magical relationship with Liz Kitley that was developed over 5 yrs of not only in play but living together, hanging out in the off season and visiting each other's families. She will make blind passes no one was expecting. She'll set up screen's girls will miss. She'll give the other girls many opportunities to shoot and make plays. However, when the chips are down and you need points, Georgia can light the afterburners and set the court on fire. I think a lot of what Ga was hinting at about coming to KY with KB was mentoring. She's prepping herself for a career in coaching once the ball stops bouncing as she says. She studies the asst. coaches like a grad student working on her masters. KY will enjoy this coming year but next spring, she's going pro and she wants these new 'babies' as she calls them to be in the best position, they can take full advantage of coach KB and succeed once she's gone. Don't dream of a Final Four out of the gate but maybe in 4-5 yrs. If it happens sooner, well, that's that lightning in a bottle that just happens sometimes. Meanwhile, enjoy Ga, her play, her passion and how she motivates her teammates and her interview humor. What a gem.
