That so called great NFL prospect Carson Beck wasn't a year better against Kentucky. If Milroe had only put up 13 points against a Kentucky team, who lost by 25 to South Carolina the previous week, people would be calling for him to get benched. Beck also did next to nothing in the 1st half against Clemson.

Alabama has scored over 30 points 7 of the 9 times Alabama has played UGA since 2008. Jimmy saying “you’re not gonna score 30” isn’t bored out by reality. Their defense is very good but historically they’ve given up lots of points when playing teams with similar talent and healthy

Facts. My personal evaluation attributes most of Bama's success in those games to 'unscripted' plays. Obviously, the 2021 SECC is the outlier as that game was won largely on UGA'S DBs being unable to stop your WRs. Milroe did it last year, so he can do it again... but WILL he? Do you need him to, or does your D shut down Beck to the point where you're piling on?

I do believe that DeBoer knows Georgia’s system better than you might think. He faced a Georgia clone of a defense in Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks at least 3 games and went 3-0 against it although Oregon didn’t have the depth Georgia does. However, it was Georgia’s defense

Forever UGA guy here, first-time viewer. I enjoyed your knowledgeable analysis and am looking forward to a great game. Beck was definitely off last week for whatever reason (part of it was Kentucky had a brilliant defensive effort), and our blocking broke down on many plays that were good calls. If I were betting, I'd take Alabama with the points and look for them to win straight up. I'm not sure why Vegas has us as the favorite, but I do expect Georgia to be much better this week. It's been interesting to watch Bama's new staff & their systems. But now it's time to REALLY see who we are. And I agree with Jimmy about needing to hold Georgia to the low 20's in order to win this game. I'm hoping we can at least have some modest success running the ball to open up an opportunity for some explosive plays down the field. And as usual with Bama, they need to play a very clean game. You're simply not going to beat Georgia when committing penalties, missing assignments & turning the ball over.

Why does Kirby Smart let Mike Bobo do the same thing on offense over and over again expecting different results? You can't play conservative and win against teams like Alabama, Texas, Tennessee, etc. If you play scared, you going to get beat. Leave it all out on the field with your talented players and mix it up. If you loose, then you shake their hand and sleep like a baby that night. Please don't run the ball up the middle all night on 1st and 2nd down. Also, on defense, you can't sit there and play man to man all night. You have to send a pass rush to pressure the QB. Otherwise, Milroe will pick you apart.

Bama has the edge at running back by a long shot Miller, Haynes, Young is a 3 headed monster. I expect Hill to get some looks while Young recovers. I give skill players edge to Bama, O line to Bama, running backs and qb to Bama. Georgia has the slight edge defensively. Special teams even.

Alabama defense will struggle to stop the run but Georgia will to. I think Bama defense holds up better against pass than Georgia. I expect them to pressure Milroe early so he needs to have his head on swivel but I also think Bama needs to come after Beck. This will be an offensive game that comes down to field position, turnovers , and who can capitalize on time of possession. I think Alabama will be able to hit more explosive plays which will pay dividends to the win. Saban Field at Bryant Denny needs to go nuts! Bama with the win 34-27.

Georgia is a good team. The loss of Bowers and McConkey has made them less explosive then the past couple of years. Bama has to stop Georgia's running game, pressure Beck, limit the penalties, and protect the ball (no turnovers). Bama by 13...Roll Tide💪

I’ve never heard an analysis put down his own player for a competitor’s QB who is clearly not better running or throwing the ball. I won’t talk about race yet I wonder if Jalen was Caucasian what would the college football world be saying? Beck is a good college QB but again, he is not better than Jalen in college nor the NFL. Jalen has a pro skill set and if they can’t see that, you’re blind.
