Hi Mike, GS-riders are much more brave than I am. I never would tackle that kind of terrain on a fully overloaded ADV bike. I guess that's the reason the 1250 GS has an automatic emergency call 😉

@@BurningFeetAdventures yeah that might be true 😂! no offence to riders who like their big heavy adv bikes but so often you see that skills are not matching the weight. as it would be for me. that's why i like your kind of setup where one can have fun even with lower skills (again, like myself).

Such a great adventure! I've also wanted and planed a trip to Turkey and Georgia for 2022, but decided to split the 2 countries and do 2 separate trips. We went in Turkey in 2022 and hope to visit Georgia this year. I also want to go in June because i believe that the landscape it's most beautiful with the lush green and white snow caps on top of the mountains. When exactly did you go in june? first or second half? And how was the Tusheti road to Omalo? We're traveling 2 up on an Africa Twin and i hope it's not to difficult... Thanks in advance for all the answers! ADV ON and cheers from Romania!

Hi mate, we spent approx. 2 weeks in Georgia from mid june till the end. The Tusheti road to Omalo is this what you can see in 2/3 of part 2 of this video. The footage describes the conditions. It's doable with a pillion but more challenging. Some of the serpentines are quite narrow. So take your time. Greetings from Germany, Stefan.

There is no big secret. The best you can do is to get in shape before you start a trip like this. I do train in the Gym 3x a week and go for extended offroad rides (100km) once a week starting a few month before the trip. The rest is more or less "don't do stupid things!". Means: don't ride your bike on a 5 weeks offroad trip like you might do it on a day trip. Don't race and try not to get injured. At least that is what I do. Greetings, Stefan.

I have no clue if an official website exists where they Update the conditions on the Passes. You could contact the National Park authorities or some of the guest house owners near the Passes. I was talking to other travellers I met on the way to get as much infos as possible. Do you have your motorbikes on the boot 🚤 or do you wanna rent them in Georgia?
