Enjoy Part 6 of our 8500 kilometer off-road trip from Greece to the Caucasus in Georgia and back. At the End of Mai 2022 we loaded the 2 Yamaha Tenere 700 in a van and drove from Potsdam (Germany) 2200 kilometer to Alexandropoli in Greece, where we stored the van and started our epic motorcycle adventure. Our goal was to ride the entire TET Turkey and two new sections that has never done before. A 4500 kilometer stretch and a big challenge on loaded Tenere 700s.
Part 6 shows you the day 18, 19, and 20 of the trip:
We made our way from the Vashluani National Park up north through georgias famous vineyards in the Alazani Valley, fueled up at the last patrol station in Napareuli and hit the dirt road to the far away village of Omalo in the Tusheti National Park.
On our way to Omalo we crossed the Abano Pass (2860m) / Torgva Pass and explored the village of Dartlo and Kvavlo with its old fortresses from the middle age.
From Tusheti lead us our motorbike offroad adventure to the next remote part of the Great Caucasus mountains to Shatili located right at the border to Rusia. It was raining like s**t and we had to deal with the flooded Argun valley and landslides. What an epic ride...

Servus! i like how you've chosen your setup! mid size offroad capable adv bikes, soft luggage, packed well and light weight. and skilled drivers! thats how it should be. so many completely overloaded GS videos out there with drivers unable to cope with their bikes.

Hi Mike, GS-riders are much more brave than I am. I never would tackle that kind of terrain on a fully overloaded ADV bike. I guess that's the reason the 1250 GS has an automatic emergency call 😉

Yeah, there are some remote areas near Usguli that are good to reach on lightweight enduro bikes but a huge challenge on the ADV bikes like the Tenere 700.

Ich hasse Starkregen. Insbesondere weil meine Klamotten und Stiefel, die eigentlich wasserdicht hätten sein sollen, es nicht waren. 10 Stunden nass in den Bergen rumzufahren is dann schon anstrengend. Aber die Natur und das Abenteuer entschädigen ;-)

Very nice! On some of the video the white balance was way off, too cold! Where the colours are very green, the balace needs to be warmer.
