Georgia 'Hits Democracy in the Face' with the New Foreign Agents Law

A copy of the Russian repressive legislation - as the new Georgian law on foreign agents is called in the PACE. The organization has also adopted a resolution calling on the EU not to start access negotiations while this law is in force in Georgia. At the same time, Georgian ruling party members declared their own claims - the EU takes Georgia in and then the law is cancelled. Such rhetorics were not met happily by EU leaders and were called 'blackmail' multiple times.

What f...n Russian law? It is almost copy of US law. Many countries have such laws. Nobody is cracking down on media, especially if it is domestic. But it is completely right that funds recieved from abroad are reported. It is meant to prevent foreign meddling.

US have exactly the same law, almost verbatim. It is perfectly fine to have such law, but the West doesn't like it since it would become transparent who is getting money from abroad and who is meddling in interval affairs.

These individuals were actively involved in teaching methods of creating protest charges and tactics for conducting violent actions. They represent the management of the Canvas organization, and Sinisa Sikman and Slobodan Djinovic are former members of the Otpor organization, an analogue of the Georgian organization Kmara in Serbia. We would remind the public that the organization Canvas, whose core is the Otpor organization, is being used to prepare youth groups for the revolutionary scenario planned in October-December of this year in Georgia. These organizations have practical experience in participating in revolutionary processes in foreign countries and in teaching how to organize violent protests.

I do at least have the consolation of having others like yourself who obviously agree with me this should not be happening, and for this reason and others I do not give KZbin any money whatsoever, but as you've probably realized out of necessity one finds oneself obliged to use KZbin and without giving them any money one has to put up with all their adds but i still feel good that I don't give them any money at all!
