As good as Kirby is, this is one thing I just don’t know if he’ll be able to ever shake. Sure we got that one in 2022, but there’s something about Saban that puts either fear or some sort of hesitation in him that he doesn’t show at all against any other team. There’s a reason the record against them is what it is, and I’m just not sure if he’ll overcome it before Saban retires. Just demoralizing as a Georgia fan, but expected nonetheless.

The way this season played out makes the case for 8 teams from the beginning even stronger. However they're seeded: Michigan/Washington/Texas/Bama/Georgia/Oregon/FSU/Ohio St playoff would be EPIC! I'm total SEC as well. I'll be rooting for Georgia to dominate if they're in there & Bama isn't in. Lets also remember that the officiating crew for this game called the auburn vs arkansas badwards spike game, the 2022 alabama vs tennessee game, and the 2023 iron bowl. @@chadcarlisle3123 It doesn’t matter who I or anyone else thinks would win a particular game - that’s 100% speculation, and is not any improvement whatsoever on the bad old days, when sportswriters’ opinions determined who was the national champion in any given year - the 3 undefeated conference champs (regardless of the weakness of a specific conference, etc.) have to be in the final four, and as far as the 1-loss teams are concerned, head-to-head HAS to be the #1 tiebreaker - therefore, there’s NO way ‘Bama should skip Texas, nor should Georgia skip Alabama - in reality, of the 1-loss teams, Ohio State had the “best loss,” losing only to #3-at-the-time Michigan, AND they were already ranked ahead of Texas and Alabama - don’t get me wrong - I am NOT an Ohio State fan - however, it seems that either they or Texas (who, unlike the Buckeyes, just won their respective conference title) deserve the #4 spot - that’s why I say that there won’t be an SEC team in the playoff this year
