As a proud GT alum, I was glad to see us take care of business and avoid the letdown. As a proud GSU alum, I’m happy to see there is a lot of talent there - they’re going to make some noise this season.

The score was about what I expected. GSU showed some flashes of potential, which was encouraging. Georgia Tech is further along with an experienced roster, so the talent gap was clear. Our wide receivers struggled with inexperience, and the offensive line had issues in pass protection. Still, we put together some solid drives against a strong Tech defense.Considering we're in a rebuild year, we played decently against a Georgia Tech team that could be in the ACC championship mix by December. The mistakes are correctable, and we need to give Dell McGee time to rebuild this roster.

I thought Tech played okay. The big positive is that we have some bad tape to go over and a bunch of things to correct, and we got all that while still winning. We need to hit the axe hard because something tells me this Syracuse game is gonna be a tough one. Go Jackets!

I saw it that too, though it seemed to get better as the game went on. Still, though, any hope of making a great season out of this is going to rely on getting better tackling out of the defense.

The score absolutely does not reflect what happened on the field. GSU shot themselves in the foot too many times. Had they not done that, it would have been a whole different story. Georgia State is a lot better thsn the score reflects
@darkrai568517 күн бұрын
gsu definitely played solid offesnively, but gt shot themselves in the foot a bunch too with a bunch of holding penalties and a poor decision by king which led to the interception. if gsu was a better team then they wouldn't have made so many errors, its just part of the game

First of all, many people today believe that slaves simply passively accepted an oppressive religion forcibly imposed by the Masters. However, while it is true that there were various waves of whites trying to convert African Americans and that, especially since the 1830s these white proselytizers emphasized the "Christian" concept of "slaves, obey your masters", many slaves were aware of what was going on and they consciously rejected White Christianity. In fact, there was a very strong belief among enslaved Christians that they were the only true Christians, and that whites were fake christians who did not even live up to the ideals they preached. We have multiple accounts of slaves making that claim, as well as several related assertions, such as the idea that the Bible used by whites was a phony (they said a true Bible may exist, but that was not what whites had), or that whites had inserted pro-slavery verses into it. Some slaves, and many of their descendants for several generations, went as far as completely rejecting the concept of a written Bible, saying instead that their Christianity was a "religion of the heart", and their true scriptures were found in spirituals (songs) and extemporaneous preaching by other slaves. So slave Christianity--and after Emancipation, the Christianity of many rural African Americans (90% of the black population)--was understood as completely unique to the African American community and a religion that did not emphasize oppression.
