This is why having 2-3 scholarships available for walk-ons is the way to go. If anyone has actually EARNED one, its the walk on athlete. Here is a guy who the coaches have worked with personally, and have gotten to know on a deeper level than how many "stars" he was granted as, and this is important...a HIGH SCHOOLER.

I'd say virtually every National Championship team won with Walk-On's. Remember, these are not men purely in it to be in the team photo, but men doggedly pushing themselves, and thus their teammates. Walk-On's make up scout team defenses and offenses to prepare each week. Sometimes a Walk-On becomes a starter, many times they are tackling dummies, often then are worthy opponents to the starters. But, ALWAYS, they are invaluable contributors to D-1 football.

You truly don't understand the meaning of a student-athlete. That's not the point. These are young men who are getting an education and becoming successful citizens. Football is not ALL about championships. College football is about bettering yourself as a young man in the classroom, on the field, and out in the world. That is something that Miami fans or their players will never understand, and never have understood. You probly never played college football so you don't understand.

yep, thats right, but these 'nerds" are going to end up being your boss one day, and i wouldnt encourage trying to call out there lack of beating UGA when there degree is giving them more an a year than you will make in a lifetime
