I've trained my dog to scent discriminate. he has tracked and founded deer and people. grass and woods is by far the easiest! I do a lot of work indoors it's more of an air scent because I assume the scent don't drop on the ground as easy. he has gotten very good with concrete surfaces. I know that the guy mostly stayed in the grass, but it's very important to train on pavement as well! my Doberman has tracked deer that was shot up to 12 hours earlier. you have a great dog ! practice makes perfect.

Line handling...keep the surplus line looped up...feeding it in and out as if you were fly fishing...having it trailing in an urban scenario has you constantly having to untangle from around the dog and the street furniture...makes the whole process more fragmented

the handler should be the only one to reward as well. you don't want him tail wagging a criminal

"Use the leash" is an incredibly ambiguous phrase. I highly suggest rephrasing that to "use the length" or something to indicate what you actually mean. Cool video though.
