the reason that Georgie jr became my favourite character while in the end off the season was because missy, meemaw and Mary were all so devastated by his death and were bawling their eyes out and Sheldon had taken a big shock and was going through acceptance during the funeral. However when everyone walked upto the casket and cried and mourned Georgie jr ensured that everything was fine and he had nothing to worry about and he had everything under control

My father passed away suddenly when I was 20 and I spread his ashes at sea. Being a mariner I have had countless of these similar conversations. My father has always been by side and it was always a thrill to share with him new lands and islands in my travels and kept me company on watches during passages. Am 65 now and while I still live on a sailboat I seldom venture offshore or travel out of the country and my conversations have been with both my parents as my mother passed 7 years ago. For me keeping their memories alive in such manner is a must and probably will continue for the rest of my days.

Georgie is such a great character. He made sure his family was given everything they needed while Sheldon was gone. Even though the entire show is literally centered around Sheldon. Georgie and missy were not treated just as fairly. Mary would always, ALWAYS believe Sheldon over Missy, and out of all three definitely prefers Sheldon. Sheldon was given WAY too much importance when he didn't deserve half of it. Sheldon wasn't even there when the family was going through this hard time. One of the real heroes of the show is Georgie. The way he carried that family and matured because he had to. Ty for the likes 🫶🫶

The whole family shielded Sheldon from alot of things after he left for school slightly isolating him further. Since before he left his mom handled everything of course she would keep that up. His mind needed to maintain a semblance of home so in his mind nothing changes much. So Georgie becoming responsible and stepping up wouldn't occur to him. His relationship with Missy as adults shows his knowledge of them is hearsay after their teen years so it's all filtered thru his mom who is not going to admit she's cracking..

I saw this a couple months back. My father passed unfortunately and coming from a family thats a little disjointed I couldn't help but self insert, and well it's all under control. But I just wonder when I'll stop saying that. It feels like I started sighing a great big sigh and I haven't stopped, like I'm still sighing like I'm.. like my breath got pushed out but my lips got stuck shut before breathing back in. I hope you know that I miss you old man, it's all under control.

This really reflects what the older georgie said in TBBT. That everyone was a mess and he had to stand up and take care of them while Sheldon was just gone, not really aware of what's happening. Georgie didn't have the opportunity to mourn his Fathers death. Really hard to watch.
