Wow. Thanks. I didn't know I couldn make juice with my oranges in the blender and then strain out the section skins. Squeezing oranges or twisting them on that juicer thing is just too laborious.

Rule number 1 is to add liquid to the blender first to keep the motor from burning out and to get a finer blend rather than having chunks in your mix

That’s why the instructions tell you to add water first. So that the blade doesn’t begin with a bunch of weight already on it. You’re gonna damage the motor doing shit like this. If you absolutely don’t want to “water down” the taste/purity of your blend, break the clementines into pieces first. And turn it on upside down, with nothing touching the blades. Then, with the blades already turning, slowly tilt the unit so that the chunks gradually meet the already turning blades.
