I didn't think anywhere in the UK had geothermal resources. I'm not convinced this project is completely safe. Geothermal energy is ( if you have abundance geothermal resources ) a great cheep way to mass produced energy, the Philippines has had geothermal plants for decades, but they ( unlike the UK ) have a number of volcanoes that makes it easy to exploit.
