Wow, nice work not to lose a single man or vehicle. I knew you were doing good but didn't realize that until I saw you stats at the end. I am surprised you like to fight with fog of war turned off :). I fight with it on but saw a big negative with that on this battle as it took forever to complete because I had to search under every bush (some offscreen) to kill all the guys to end the last couple of sub-missions. Since your fog of war was off, I can see you left a lot of Russians alive. Not sure why I had to kill everything to get it to end unless the developers have certain indvidiual soldiers or groups that must be destroyed to move to the next phase. Anyway, nice work!

So I have a pretty annoying problem- the mission does not recognice the last two tasks completed and I see no enemies alive at all anymore. Yeah, seem to be bugged. Onky 3 tanks spawn at beach attack and thus the game never counts the mission as finnished I guess.

@@Demensemen Mission is bugged, 4th and last tank does not seem to spawn. Drive a tank with free fire allowed to the most outer position on the left beach side. At some point your tank should open fire and kill the last enemy tank which you can´t see.

@@WaLdgeiSt_ yes, same thing happened to me, which is why I watched this to see how he dealt with it. I have fog of war turned on so I had to do a ton of searching to find a few hidden enemies to end the last couple of sub-missions. Then at the end, I sent troops up and down the beach to finally see them firing at something off screen. Then game ended shortly after... shew. This sounds like its common enough for a bug fix.

"ok the gun is ours! now use it to level the village!" Me: Uhhhh, the village is "above" the railway gun, I don't think we can fire on it unless we can fire THROUGH the terrain. (the gun then proceeds to somehow fire up and over the embankment near the train tracks to hit targets in the village)

Not saying that the physics is accurate in the game in this case but the big advantage of artillery is that it is not direct fire. If you are using artillery in direct fire mode that usually means something went wrong.... Anyway, artillery weapons lob shells at an angle to go over terrain, buildings, trees, etc. The closer the target is to your gun usually the greater the angle from the ground surface the gun must fire.

@@panzer948 Depends on the gun caliber and what kind of artillery it is. If its a mortar then yes, you can lob it over terrain if its something like this railway gun then no, unless the gun itself is a very long distance away from the target.

@@4T3hM4kr0n ok, well that is kind of what I said... Your original comment seemed to indicate it was a direct fire weapon and not artillery. We both know the scale of the game is different from reality (mostly to keep the map size down), which I can accept since its only a game.

@@panzer948 you don't seem to know what you are talking about. The Railway gun in this is a repurposed russian naval gun, at close distance it IS a direct fire weapon due to shell ballistics. As it stands it is too close enough to the village to be able to hit it as the shell wouldn't be able to arc over the terrain at such a close distance.

@@4T3hM4kr0n ok, so if it was a direct fire gun historically then you are right... I stand corrected. I assumed it was classic artillery. You win. But it is a game so the "scale of arcing" is different for even the "real" artillery modelled in the game.

I'm loving this DLC I watch you play I bought it waiting for it to download it's so funny how stupid the AI acts the guy working truck oh I didn't hear the super loud gun fire just going to keep going same with the one sitting in didn't hear shit 😂 you know if you was to have your medics pick up rifles and ammo you would be surprised how well they can shoot so if the is dire it sometimes works out well they do get the same training as other soldiers besides the medical training I always arm mine when playing CTA regardless of the situation.
