Gera-Thieschitz train station

That was my old home, where I was born in 1956 and my grandparents lived. When we moved away in 1959, I was there regularly on vacation until about 1978, of course always by train. Much of the video no longer exists, such as the restaurant at 1:30. The restaurant at 1:53 also had only a short life after the reunification. I remember the station fondly, there I always got from the stationmaster a cigar box of used tickets, also the whole waiting room smelled of cigar smoke. Today the station building is private.
This is an old VHS recording.
This was recorded with a VHS-C camcorder, transferred to VHS, from there transferred to HDD with a VHS-HDD recorder and now brought into digital format with a video grabber.
Fortunately, with today's technology, such contortions are no longer necessary.

It was also an old film, copied from VHS-C to VHS and there to a hard disk and then converted to mp4 via SCART with an analog to digital converter. 🙄😃
