for those wondering about the rod break... 13 fishing (along with every rod maker in the industry) has prototypes and experimental rods that the pros put through hell... it could be an experimental composite, wall thickness, action...ect.. this is how the rods are designed and tested long before they get into the hands of the everyday angler.. every company has the same rod breakage (believe it or not, they want it) and most of the time you will never see it.... im sure this rod will go back to the factory where they will dissect it and use that info too produce the best product for the pro and consumer..... when finished and it passes the Gman hookset, you can be rest assured that you have the best rod money can buy... ya gotta admit,, the rod blow up was awesome... and he didnt lose the fish...lol.. awesome vid Gman.... I've got a couple 13 FATE rods and a couple 13 Origin reels to match and I love mine, that Origin reel is hands down the best reel I've ever owned and used for under 100$.
