That was the first of what was supposed to be a trilogy. They even mention the next movie at the start of the credits, if I remember correctly. And back in 2012 Guy Ritchie even said that the script for the sequel was finished. At the very least, getting that great cast back together now would be a bit harder and more expensive. Both Idris Elba and Tom Hardy alone are far bigger stars now than they were then. But, boy, what an underrated movie.
