Don't leave them like that because they don't know what to do, they can get scared and start fighting and possibly injuring eyes or teeth etc. They need to be caged and be close together until they get familiar with each other. Isn't it cold for Gerda in winter conditions, couldn't you bring her in also?

I do agree with you. He is smart and pumas think in advance in their brain what they plan to do. He is wonderful as well as Gerda has wisened up also quite a bit. Gerda, from time to time she will be level headed and negotiable as we see here she would like to go on top of the oven to look yonder at the trees for birds but Messi is saying " this territory is off limits right now maybe another time" She didn't appear aggressive at all but she is trying to make it normal for them then to be in the presence of each other and share space every now and then so they both get the opportunity to share the pleasure s of the view on top of the oven.
