I’m a huge Spice Girls fan myself but Geri talks more in her songs and doesn’t actually sing. It’s very apparent in “Look at Me”. While her songs might have a deep meaning or are fun to listen to she isn’t a great singer. I would even go as far as to say she is the weakest Spice Girl regarding singing ability.

To this day, I find this to be one of the best English Latino ballads ever produced and an embodiment of summer - up there with Madonna's La Isla Bonita. I do have to admit that the video adds immeasurably to the song, fully utilizing Geri's assets - not only the toned physique she had in her prime, but also her gorgeous eyes, smile, and her world-famous fun personality. It all adds up to a classic, even twenty years later.

Geri may not be the best singer but her music is fantastic and I can listen to it over & over again, this song was ahead of time and very fresh today and it wasn’t vulgar compared to many musically artist today (by the way many singers’s music today is not very memorable or versatile which is pretty sad, it just vulgar and not enough creativity.) this is one my favourite songs by Geri, and I’m surprised 😮 she didn’t end up writing ✍️ songs for other singers.
