In Melaka, try Asam Laksa or Curry Laksa at Jonker 88, Peranakan Place (Nyonya cuisine, nasi pandan ayam goreng berempah [spiced fried chicken], nyonya laksa, asam laksa), Chicken rice balls at Ee Ji Ban Chicken Rice Ball, Tengkera Duck Noodle, Restoran Ban Lee Siang for Satay celup (dipped satay) and Baba Charlie Cafe or Popiah Ta Chong for Popiah (vegetable mix inside a spring roll).

Nasi kandar should be showered with multiple gravies, the mix of 5 - 6 types. Beside chicken & eggs, should include crispy fried bitter gourd, cabbage/beansprout/okra as well as squid.
