I'm German and I tried to ignore this band for almost 25 years. I didn't like that "deep voice-big muscle-hyper-male" thing. I don't need the fire works (a real musician doesn't need "Taschen-Spieler-Tricks", right? ). I hated the playing with Nazi-symbols. They take all the stereotypes about Germany and "chisel it into stone". During the Pandemic I stumbled upon the Paris concert on the internet. In the beginning I was zapping through and sneering about the porn, the "mainstream Hollywood visuals" - a real musician doesn't need "Taschen-Spieler-Tricks", right? Soon I was watching my favorite songs every day. Some I liked even more with every hearing- that never happened! I discovered an unexpected deepness, search for perfection in every detail, a dedication to honesty, but also playfulness and fun. I can not relate to every song, though. The "Deutschland" song hit very close to home: the video, bouncing from one stage of German history to another, spiraling into an inferno with incredible visuals, creates the exact emotional amalgam that hits me whenever I think about German history. Anyway, I really recommend to dive into this rabbit hole. I recommend to start with "ohne dich", "Mein Herz brennt" (Pianoversion!), "Radio" (chord progression), "Mutter" (melody, hook) and the Apocalyptica cover of "Seeman". Can't wait to see your reactions.

Rammstein is a band that plays a lot with symbolism. The story of this song is that Till is looking for a woman with big tits, but doesn't see that everyone around him has big tits. We are all looking for something in life and most of the time we don't see that it's very close.

Of course, when I saw the title I had to look up the lyric translation before watching the video and LMAO! The video was so over the top that the music didn't have to be good but it really was strong. The oompah band and visuals over the credits were priceless. Thanks for the fun!!! Yes! More Rammstein 😁 I went to a Rammstein concert in Gothenburg (Sweden) a few years ago with my 69yr old dad. We both loved it! The show was insane. They sold out 3 concerts (around 65000 in the audience each night) in a row.

Die Stadt Ramstein wird mit einem M geschrieben. Sie liegt auch nicht in den Alpen. Die Band Rammstein hat sich nicht der Stadt Rammstein benannt und dabei den Namen falsch geschrieben. Der Grund dafür war die Flugschaukatastrophe auf der Ramstein Air Base, bei der 70 Menschen starben und hunderte verletzt wurden.

Was, du sprichst Deutsch? Das ist ja eine Überraschung! :) Rammstein Musikvideos (vor allem in den letzten Jahren) sind auf jeden Fall immer sensationell. Hochwertig und teuer produziert, künstlerisch wertvoll und oft mit vielen wichtigen Details. Ihr solltet euch auf jeden Fall mal auch die Videos zu "Sonne", "Amerika", "Deutschland", "Angst", "Zeit", "Zick Zack" und "Adieu" ansehen. Am besten mit englischen Untertiteln, falls euch das hilft. (Man kann in den Settings Auto-Translate aktivieren.) Oder der Kanal "educatedmarine" hat manche Videos ebenfalls schon mit guten englischen Übersetzungen online...

She knows how it is pronounced..! ..The best band in the World ! ..this song, and 2 or 3 more of them, are a bit of rare "fun mode" engaged.. sure you will learn, that after accident on early career, they decided to be certified pyrotecnitians themselves.. They have the best music videos, and for sure live shows.. The shows in Paris or Maddison Square Garden, were well filmed and recorded.. A good starting point..but some are better in music video.. I I only watch/hear Rammstein, when i got time in youtube..

Rammstein haben, seit sie mit Engel bekannt wurden , provoziert und polarisiert. Trotzdem sind sie weltweit unglaublich erfolgreich geworden und es ist krass zu sehen, wenn z. B. in Frankreicht die Leute mitsingen ... wo der normale Franzose sich normalerweise weigert, deutsch zu sprechen. Der Erfolg beruht weniger auf der Musik als auf den tollen Shows mit Pyro ohne Ende, das ist was die Leute fasziniert ... es gibt unendliche viele reaction videos im Netz, 90% zu live videos und die Shows sind ziemlich einmalig. Ich konnte mich im Juni überzeugen, live in Nimwegen/NL, aber ich auch nur hingegangen, weil es mich nichts gekostet hat 👍 ich würde keine 100+ Euro für Rammstein ausgeben. Vom letzten Album ist der Song Zick, Zack noch besser, er nimmt die Schönheitschirurgie "auf die Schippe" ... gönnt euch mal das Video 🤣

I love Yes, Rush, Kansas, Steve Wilson and Porcupine Tree and lots of other progressive music. Also Thin Lizzy, Michael Schenker, Toto etc. But I have to admit: Videos like Deutschland, Adieu, Angst, Radio, Keine Lust, Ausländer and many more are among the best videos ever produced. In this respect, “Dicke Titten” is not one of the best Rammstein videos - but it is funny. Not to mention the live recordings from Paris (including “Du Hast”) and from the Madison Square Garden.

doch, deutsches Essen ist am besten und uebrigens auch am variantenreichsten. Und wer das nicht weiss, der outet gleich mehrfach Unwissenheit, zum einen dass er keine Ahnung von Geschichte hat (Germany war die Basis des Heiligen Roemischen Reiches, davor Teil des Fraenkischen Empires (der westliche Teil bekam Frankreich, daher ja der Name)) und war nach dem Fall des klassischen Roemischen Reiches nun wirklich die meiste Zeit das Center - wie es auch heute ist. Meisten cities in Europe, meisten castles auf der Welt, meisten hohen Kirchtuerme auf der Welt, ist zudem die groesste Economy in Europe, u.a. weil es nun seit praktisch 1500 Jahren das Center von Europe representiert und damit auch den meisten Traffik und Durchgang hat, zumal es in der Region mit den meisten Menschen in Europe liegt. Entsprechend auch die Fluktuation des Traffiks, was bedeutet: hier gibts so gut wie alles, was wiederum bedeutet: nur ein Narr weiss nicht, dass Germany einer DER Foodspots des Planeten ist (Berlin uebrigens derzeit seit einigen Jahren die Stadt mit dem besten Food der Erde)! Und das in weit hoeherer Qualitaet als die meiste Welt, gleichzeitig vergleichbar zu anderen hoechstentwickelten Stadten relativ guenstig (aus einer Mischung aus gesagtem aber auch einer bestimmten Mentalitaet heraus, die nicht zufaellig ALDI, Lidl usw. hervorbrachte) - weshalb auch viele Nachbarlaender hier einkaufen (ueber die Grenzen, aber auch bei teureren Dingen generell, daher billiger). Also bitte FUER IMMER daemliche Stereotypen vergessen! Die MEISTEN sind falsch. Apropos: London hat NICHT mehr Regen als z..B. Paris oder Berlin, hat auch vergleichbare Sonnenlichtdauer, Oslo, Moskau usw. sogar LAENGER, ebenfalls hat Spanien NICHT das beste Wetter wie ueberhaupt die meisten Stereotypen ueber den Sueden genauso unsinnig sind (Doofe copy-pasten eben staendig Doofe ohne Ahnung), auch das Essen nicht usw. usf... das beste Klima auf dem Planeten ist ein echtes 4 Season Klima (fuer die Ernte besser, mehr Produktivitaet, mehr kulturelle Diversitaet in der Handlung (da die Umstellungen auf die jeweilige Jahreszeit natuerlich mehr bewegt als statisch-heisses Wetter in nem relativ toten Palmen-Beach setting, zudem ist jeder geistig arm, der keinen goldenen Herbst usw. kennt) usw. usf ... Und wer das alles kapiert hat, den sollte es auch nicht wundern, dass Germany von den meisten Speisen/Getraenken die hoechste Vielfalt hat (es gibt das meist aus der Welt, aber nicht umgekehrt. Und nein, es ist auch nicht immer automatisch das am besten, was das Originalland ist, noch so ein Bloedsinn von geist armen. Das stimmt in der Regel fuer deutsches Essen und einiges, aber oft ist es falsch. Mexikanisches Essen ist NICHT am besten in Mexico (mal davon abgesehen, dass die meisten Maerkte auf der Welt in Central Europe aufgrund Hygieneprobleme sofort geschlossen wuerden - und das war im 20. Jahrhundert noch viel schlimmer).

For someone like myself who was born and raised in Munich for 15 years, Bavaria is what I consider my tradition. I know that the rest of Germany is very different. I understand that Bavarian tradition is so strong that the rest of the world sees it as a generalized German tradition. Just like the mariachi that is from the state of Jalisco is seen as all of Mexico's look. Hey, I get it we are looked at as the bad guys in every American movie. Get over it 👍
