Your commentary is funny!! Also, the Greenland ‘vacation’ was a tiny blunder by your opponent…

You shouldn't say "In real life this would never happen". Like a small unit defeating larger units or a couple small units defeating many more powerful units. This happened in real life during WWII several times. I'm not just talking about one uboat sinking a battleship which happened several times. That makes sense because submarines have stealth and sneak attacks. I'm talking about things that makes no sense and you would say it could never happen, but it did. One battle the Germans only had one Tiger Tank and some infantry, attacked by over 100 T-34s and at least double the infantry. The one Tiger tank destroyed about 50 T-34s before withdrawing. The infantry destroyed a few more T-34s with Panzerfaust and mines. A German Merchant Raider, which is a merchant ship, a cargo transport ship designed to ship cargo. Later they added guns on the deck with tarps and crates hiding them, so it could sneak around looking like a cargo ship. When it got close to a British merchant ship it could raise the German Flag, Lift the crates and tarps off the guns on the decks, and make British get in their lifeboats then sink the ship. One of these sunk a Britich Cruiser. A real cruiser, designed as a cruiser. An actual warship. The German cargo ship could never win. The British Cruiser guns could hit it a mile away before the Germans would be within range to fire back with their smaller guns. The German cargo ship was slow too, so couldn't run away. Zero chance it could win. The British Cruiser heard about one of these German Merchant Raiders being in the Indian Ocean and thought this might be them. So demanded the German ship identify itself and giver them the secret code. They Germans kept stalling until they were close enough. Then they raised the German Naval flag, uncovered their guns, and fired their guns into the bridge of the British Cruiser, likely killing all the commanders. Then they knocked out the first British turret before it could fire on them. The British did manage to fire one or two shots before the Germans knocked out their other turrets. Them famously Michael Wittman attacked a British Armored Brigade with one Tiger Tank. There were more German tanks he could have waited for, but he saw the British were in the middle of breakfast and wanted to catch them with their pants down. It worked. In 15 minutes he knocked out 25 armored vehicles as well as many trucks, jeeps, anti tank guns, and other equipment. Anyway, my point is when you get bad rolls or really good rolls and you think no way that could happen in real life. Remember it could. They just caught your men in the middle of breakfast or somehow got lucky. A transport ship sunk your warship, it can happen. Or like the Graf Spee, maybe the Captain scuttled the battleship because he thought he was surrounded by the entire British navy and didn't stand a chance, It would be suicide to try and fight. When it was actually just two cruisers he could have easily sank.

I played Germany alone and let Comp play the rest. I went heavy on Sea units and was able to control the Atlantic. Made 3-5 Bombers and was able to hit UK and Moscow with alternation. Won my two last games. Got good hits with the Bombing. I just started so my first two games were lost. But now I'm wondering if heavy Sea and Bombing will be a win each time or if I just got lucky with the dice rolls. Just got the board game today from Amazon (1940 Europe 2nd edition). Man everything is squished together lol. It's looking overwhelming :)

Totally cool strategy! Bomber seems fun, makes me want to try it sometime. Ik the strat u are using has men but usually when I play Germany, I shift everything over to attack Russia/except Africa and planes, I leave my planes hanging around to sorta poke at the UK fleet, I also build 2 subs everyround which keeps the UK building destroyers not men. Note if the US makes a fleet first round DO NOT BUILD SUBS it’s a waste of IPC if the US gets involved in the Atlantic

Your relaxed play style is nice, although it does result in a number of little tactical, logistic or UI mistakes which should have been punished by a better opponent. I'll just state a few in the first 3 rounds, hopefully this "criticism" is accepted in a positive manner as is given ;) G2: your bomber (rolls 4) from Germany used to attack the least important position at that moment, namely West Russia, while it may have attacked the cruiser in order to maximize the chance of 1 combat turn there (not to lose more than 1 fighter). WR could have had a fighter attack it, if inf dies you retreat with no huge consequences. Fighter not needed in Byelorussia as it cannot be attacked after Ukraine falls and WR 99% falls, so tanks could have been amassed into it for 1 roll of dice take, with a fighter spare. G3: didn't see the move itself but you explained it, got a question: why send the tank towards Jordan and arty towards Sudan? If the tank had taken Africa you could have blitzed it around even alone next 2 turns for 4 territories free, and have your ground troops move towards Persia. Also you gave him easy opportunity to kill a tank in Jordan instead of an arty. No point. Great taking out his transports and stranding the bunch of troops in Greenland, the availability of this move tells me the opponent is pretty inexperienced (also some other moves, like the rounding of Cape Horn instead of using Panama canal, and the buildup on the west Coast, or the stand of Russians in buryatia, or the attack by Russians into US China which doesn't give USSR IPC but also doesn't give US IPC since you retake in the meantime) J3: oh boy... you were sooo lucky with the dice so it didn't really hurt you, but those 1inf+1plane vs 1inf attacks are too dicey, especially without real backup behind them. Had your inf lost those battles enemy inf could easily walk into your IPC for free... But you won them all without a single loss, well fortune favors the brave (some might say stupid) ;) Another thing in Burma: you attacked it with ample air and used an arty, while having the inf take Thailand. With that much air incoming the ground troop is not supposed to win on dice (that's what the ample air is for), it's there to either occupy or take a hit for air. I'd do it the other way, attack inf+air Burma and save arty freely taking Thailand, since he's got a counterattack on Burma for sure, and you'd lose an inf while arty would stay alive as backup to assist new inf landings ;) Also, do roll back the video to 55:40 and see what happens (UI feature not a bug) when you first load 2 inf then 2 arty into 2 transports - the 2 infantry fill up 1 full transport - then you've no room for the 2 arties in the second transport, only 1 arty fits in (total of 3 troops). Instead the UI needs you to first load 2 arties (they load into 2 different transports) and then when you load the 2 inf's they fill up the remaining room in each respective transport (total of 4 troops). As you did it you landed only 3 troops from Japan into Yunnan instead of full 4 you could have landed ;)

How long do PvP games usually last? in terms of time and turns? I only play against the computer but am thinking about trying ranked.

Hi got.into 40k at end of 9th and was completely blind sided by the drop of all those models unfortunately the only thing about the new codex I'm even excited about is how cool the models look. And I'm in the middle of 2 crusades we're I have units and war gear that is going extinct and have no idea how that's going turned out now I find the box set is sold out as well I'll be honest I am a little pissed off. I can understand new models and from there stand point but at the very least make us the consumer excited about something you know

I've never played this. I have the boardgame original version Axis & Allies. I'm just seeing how different this is. If it's even the same game. It seems quite a bit different.

I never got how Ukraine has the same value (2) as Kazakhstan. Also are there any games like this that take into consideration resources like food and oil? I think if more games did, then people playing the Axis would find themselves trying to take and hold Ukraine and the Caucasus. And the Russian players would find themselves trying to hold on to, and if necessary retake the Caucasus and Ukraine. Then maybe people would realize why things really happened and the battle of Stalingrad wasn't only about the city having Stalin's name on it, despite what they said on the History Channel documentaries.

Try not to trade tanks with Russia ever if u can especially when trading territories. Lose ipc and attack power
