Very inspiring to sit here and watch all this training and physical activity. It has inspired me to grab another drink and a bag of Doritos and watch another training video.

One question, ( For anyone in the comments who has an opinion on this) I am loosing interest in going to the gym to do the regular weight lifting and cardio, and started doing more swimming, I use fins to put more load on my legs while swimming. But I also want to try indoor climbing, I am not fat but I got some fat around my midsection that I am slowly peeling off but my lack of interest in doing the regular gym workout is halting my progress, I got plenty of strength, I do weighted pull ups and dips, I can do 50 push ups before I need rest, I can also do handstand pushups against a wall. And the question is, how good is climbing as a fat burning workout, if I would climb 2-3 times a week and swim 3-4 times a week and maybe hit the gym 1-3 times a week if I am not in the mood for either climbing or swimming. I am not looking to get big like a bodybuilder but more athletic, loosing fat and improving my strength
@therealudini8 жыл бұрын
+Oskar Thor In my opinion, less regular weight lifting and cardio and more body weight exercises and climbing, along with the swimming are a good way to go for achieving your goals!
@getsomemtb74278 жыл бұрын
+Oskar Thor Looking to get ripped? It's about the kind of diet and the exercise that determine what you will look like. Want to trim down? Lighten way up on animal protein and replace it with yup...plant based. Fruits and veggies and carbs like potatoes, rice, some pastas. The plant based diet will provide more energy than animal proteins. Simple fact. But if you want to take up climbing...start with getting a pair of the hand spring grippy things. It's mostly about your grip and hand strength. And taking Yoga might help get stretched out. I climb a little but cycle a lot. I'm 6'1" and 158lbs. Lean and ehhh, cut...not ripped. Climb like a spider. It's always a challenge. Every work out.
@MisterMinotauros8 жыл бұрын
I think climbing or bouldering could be a great sport for you: it's more interesting than just weightlifting, in my opinion, because you have a actual goal. It's less about getting string than using your muscles. If you want to know if it's body shaping just take a look at professional climbers like Chris Sharma, Alex Honold etc. climbers need to have a good body weight - power ratio,thats why the use to have smaller muscles but with tender muscle fibers and more strength. If you want to start you should think about taking a technique class in your local climbing gym: stronger people tend to use their strength uneconomical and often need to learn how to use their muscles in a better way
@rushthezeppelin8 жыл бұрын
+Bert Nunyabusiness Vegetarian/vegan diet is not the only way to go for climbing. I have been training for a while now on a diet heavy in whey and eggs and milk with some steak and seafood mixed in for dinners. Granted I'm also throwing alot of fruit and veggies into the mix, I usually have 2 of my meals everyday now in smoothie form because it's too damn easy, especially to guzzle that down at the gym. Just make sure you are blending and not juicing though, the fiber is key to slowing down your body's consumption of the sugar. In fact I credit getting away from grains and other random processed crap with a BIG boost in my endurance at the gym. Sans a fair amount of fruit I'm actually following a ketogenic diet fairly closely. I've always been of the mind though that everyone's body is different and you might need a different diet than me. I know for me though this has resulted in big improvement to the point where I'm working on sustained crimpy and overhung 11b/c routes (and I swear my gym is sandbagging their grades by at least 2 letters). And I haven't gained a pound in the process (5'6" and 148 lbs).
@asdfg796608 жыл бұрын
+williamina vanbottle That's a bit silly, I completely agree that if you eat less you'll lose weight, however if you don't exercise you are likely to lose a lot more muscle than if you did. Overall, diet and exercise are a bit like the ages old saying "the whole is greater than the some of its parts", it's far better to do both than just one.
