Thank you - but is there any difference in meaning, or usage, or register, or formality? Why choose one or the other?

There is no major difference in the meaning of these three conjunctions. They all mean because but da is used more if you want to say “since”. Like, Ich bleibe zu Hause, da es regnet. I’m staying home, since it is raining. Apart from that it is the sentence structure that changes. Just how I explained in the video, in cases of weil and da, the conjugated verb goes in the end and with denn the verb stays in the 2nd position. And there is no issue of formality here. So, you can choose any one of them! Hope that helps 😊
