What a lovely video of your Easter celebration. My family is also German background and this reminds me of the tastes, smells and delights of home Nostalgia for sure. One thing that is the most important reason for Easter is that our Lord Jesus Christ is RISEN from the grave. When we greet each other, we say “He is risen”. “He is risen indeed”.

A nyuszi hozzá a piros tojást, melyet Húsvét hetfojen a zöld fűben rejtenek el a gyerekeknek. Hétfőn locsoljak meg a fiúk a lányokat, ezért kapnak piros tojást a lányoktól. Thank you for your inspiring video. I must confess that at home in Germany, Easter is clearly just the number two holiday and can't compete with Christmas + New Year. Can't tell you why, but springtime seems to be not the ideal moment for rest and tranquility, which actually makes that big difference. For all I know, the Slavic countries of Europe and also Greece make a lot more of Easter than of Christmas.

Interesting. I particularly like those rabbits in your window. I don't know or have run into very many "traditional" German people throughout my life (Americans with German surnames who are completely Americanized, yes I know). The one German family I especially do recall had a daughter who was into krafts just as you are, and I also recall another family who was meticulously planning for Christmas long before Christmas came along. The impression I am getting from you and them is that Germans who cling to their roots enjoy all the trappings of the Christmas and Easter holidays more than most. Anja, I have a question which has nothing to do with the holidays. I recall from watching one of your videos that you mentioned something about purchasing German coffee at Trader Joes. I wanted to try this because I do not like strong coffee either yet when I asked the employees about a German roast coffee, they knew nothing about it. I don't recall a specific name that you mentioned, either. Can you name which coffee you were referring to?

I love your cooking "classes" especially with sourdough, which is my favorite. However, I would be remiss if I didn't warn you about Easter and the evils behind this fertility goddess worship day to Ishtar/Ashteroth. Eggs were died, yes, but do you know what the dye was? Do you know what the cute little bunnies represent? Do you know why ham is eaten on that day? How about hot cross buns? How about lent? Have you ever heard the names Simeramas and Tammuz? There is so much we have been lied to about and we must correct it. TruthUNedited on YT just did an incredible video about this day. Very enlightening and truthful. Pls consider. I learned these facts many years ago and it opened a doorway to greater understanding of the Truth...the Creator.
