Development and redevelopment in Singapore always threathen the existence of many old and iconic buildings or even trees . The reason given is " obstruction " to the development or redevelopment of the place.or, it does not compliment with it! This little shrine at Pulau Ubin has a long history which connects to the island. Hopefully, it would remain as it is for a long time to come and the island itself, be spared of any development too. Tourists aside, many locals too are visiting the island for leisure as its a rustic and a great place for family/friends to spent together and learn about nature, which the mainland cannot provide such as, the absndoned granite quarries which is filled with water and looks very scenic, prawn ponds, the type of dwellings used by the residents of the island. their ways of life, a great place for anglers to enjoy their hobby etc. Do not pollute Pulau Ubin with any development but let it be, as it is !!!
