@@sanjikaneki6226 Because many top chefs are known to practice mental torture and put excessive pressure onto their subordinates to enforce excellence. It’s described as constant screaming in the kitchen.

@@jansix4287 Firstly, Michelin only gives 3 stars. Second, few top chefs scream or humiliate their staff because if they did they wouldn't have a staff. Finally, the way Gordon Ramsay acted on some of his TV shows was just that - acting.

Reminds me a lot of my current driving instructor. No amount of complaints does anything and the instructor seems to take pleasure in screaming at me. Even if I am in the middle of the exam and already scared shitless.

This is such a difficult topic to speak about, if you know what is involved. If you look at the professional gymnasts, they are skinny(no offence meant) to reduce the weight they have to lift and swing. Weight is everything. The distribution(you can't have strong hands, but weak legs) of body weight is everything to make sure the weight of the body is balances, manageable. Few extra kilos here or there and it will cost you better place. Is it fair? No. But if you want to seriously compete, you have no choice. You have to compete against the best and that means a very strong regime, rules. It does not bode well for everyone. It should not(I would not handle it). Do you want to be only average? You can join any gym you want. With the above said, I don't want to sound like I speak up for the teacher, all I want to say is when you sign up for something, be prepared for everything. It isn't for everyone. PS: To the girls - you aren't bad in any way, you are who you want to be and you are both really pretty. But please be warned, being excellent/amazing requires different different level of dedication.

US was worse bc the gymnasts were sexually abused in addition to other abuses. Anyway, why punish the whole sport and the girls just bc the adults failed these kids. You don't ban driving just bc many drivers drive unsafely

Putting someone in prison for the rest of their life is a crime in itself, no matter what heinous act they have committed. The American justice system is barbaric. Today we consider burning, hanging and pulling out nails of convicts barbaric. Had we put it forward back then, we would have been met by angry objections highlighting the severity of the crime, and accusations of defending such acts. The matter of fact is that often no punishment is harsh enough to compensate the victims.
