Hallo Jenny, In sentences like you mentioned - "Damit konntest du recht haben", "Damit habe ich nicht gerechnet", "Damit habe ich nicht zu tun" ..is it always the case that "damit" will be positioned in the beginning of the sentence ? Can I use it like - ich habe damit nicht zu tun.

+nikhil wali dieser Satz macht keinen Sinn, "damit" bedeutet "mit etwas". Du kannst z.B. sagen: ich habe ein neues ipad. Damit sehe ich deine Videos. In deinem Satz bezieht sich "damit" auf nichts. Du kannst sagen: Deswegen sehe ich deine Videos.

About "Hör auf damit", why does "auf" not come at the end? I would expect that since aufhören is a Trennbare Verb

+Patrik Osgnach the position of da-compounds is rather flexible. You can say: Ich fange bald damit an Ich fange bald an damit Although the standard german version would be with the prefix at the end
