ドイツ連邦軍参謀軍楽隊は、日本でいう陸上自衛隊中央音楽隊のような位置付けで、国家的な式典等で活躍しています。 ドイツ軍軍楽隊は他国のそれと比べて特徴的ですので、軽くご紹介します。 なんと言ってもその特徴は、鼓笛隊とドラムメジャーの指揮でしょう。 ドイツの軍楽隊には、指揮者が率いる吹奏楽隊とは別に、ドラムメジャーが率いる鼓笛隊が組み込まれています。 ドラムメジャーは形式的には鼓笛隊のみを指揮し、吹奏楽隊は指揮者の指揮下にあります。 鼓笛隊のみが演奏する「導入行進曲（ドラムマーチ）」はドラムメジャーのみが、演奏開始・終了の際には指揮者とドラムメジャーの両方が合図を出しているのが確認できるでしょう。 ドイツ国歌演奏時には、途中までは指揮者率いる吹奏楽隊のみが演奏し、中盤からドラムメジャーの合図で鼓笛隊（ドラムのみ）が加わりますので、役割分担がより分かりやすいと思います。 ちなみに、東独以前は「ドラムメジャー→鼓笛隊→指揮者&旗→吹奏楽隊」という、役割分担がより明確な隊列を組んでいました。 ドラムメジャーがしっかり仕事をしているのも特徴です。 ドイツ軍では曲の途中でも演奏をピタリと止める伝統があります。 この動画では「プロイセンの栄光」と「ヨルク軍団行進曲」で見られます。

Which Prussian anthem? They played Prussia's Gloria, which is a Prussian victory march. I am not even sure what the anthem of the Kingdom of Prussia was, the anthem of the Prussian crusader state was "Christ ist erstanden" (Christ has arisen), that of the prussian lead second empire "Heil dir im Siegerkranz" (Hail to thee in victor's wreath) and that used by the surviving Prussian displaced community "Land der dunklen Wälder/ Ostpreußenlied" (Land of dark forests/ song of eastern prussia)
