Well, here in Germany we unfortunately have very soft laws unlike America! We had cases where people hurt other people with a baseball bat or a metal stick and still got probation! They sent the victims to hospital for 2 months and didn't spend one single day in jail...! It's ridiculous! I wish we had stronger laws like America!

It's true, the swatters, hackers, and trolls, essentially get nothing out of what they do, there's really no rhyme or reason to their sociopathic tendencies. It's mostly just rich kids who've never lived with any sort of accountability, who come from families who just let them do what they want. As a result, they essentially don't have any way to comprehend the differences between right and wrong. As far as they're concerned, whatever they feel like doing is right. I also agree about the trolls who hide behind their social profiles. They create sock puppet accounts, and they spend every waking moment of their lives harassing people, and its for a very simple reason. Besides hating the world, they hate themselves and have nothing else to live for. Just look at all the KZbin channels created solely for the purpose of trolling DSP. Anyone who's able to devote their entire lives to harassing others obviously has no life to begin with. It's like you said, they get nothing out of it themselves. In the case of the guy you mentioned, he's likely a classic case of this. He stole credit card info to buy garbage that never even benefited himself. Why?
