This song has been a cherished part of my life since childhood, weaving memories of joy and wonder with its melody. Now, with the addition of new lyrics sung by native weavers, it has transformed into a masterpiece that honors their craft and culture. It's a beautiful fusion of tradition and artistry, reminding us of the enduring power of music to unite and inspire. The real song name also tati by arnob its a decades ago. Oli boy sung very well. And I always wait for your reaction, welcome back❤

Hello Jola, Thanks for sharing your insights! Gonjer Ali is a Tati songwriter. 'Ali' is his actual name, while 'Gonjer' refers to a local bazaar. It's a special kind of marketplace where villagers gather once or twice a week to buy household items, clothes, dresses, food, vegetables and so many.

u mentioned in one of ur previous videos that music moves u, and it seems it really does! I have seen how some of ur 'reaction-songs' triggered an emotional response and was wondering "if just the melody of the song can bring this girl's tears, how overwhelming the philosophical richness and the lyrical depth could be for her!" I wish I could only comprehensively translate the Bangla folk songs in German for u, and impart not only their musical richness, but also the magic of every word and their associated imagery, mysticism and metaphor. before finishing, a humble suggestion from a humble fan: in general, every song from Coke studio Bangla has a historical, traditional and cultural context, folklore being one of the dominant parts. an introductory acquaintance with that context could make ur videos more authentic. Stay safe dear! looking forward to enjoying ur next Coke Studio Bangla reaction video. And if u ever come to visit Bangladesh, pls let me know. I will do everything in my capacity to make ur travel a memorable and fulfilling one :) Regards!

This song is about "jamdani saree", a traditional dress for women in Bangladesh. The song tells us the story about the history, the makers, the making procedure, the cultural effect of this fabric of jamdani saree. Bangladesh is the only country that has been producing Jamdani sarees for thousands of years. Now, We are currently exporting our Jamdani sarees across the borders of the country. Once there was a conspiracy to destroy the Jamdani industry during the British colonial rule. But we were able to protect this traditional industry. So for us Jamdani is an emotional name. In many of our looms, weavers compose folk songs on Jamdani sarees. One such song has been released this season.

This song was made in recognition of the traditional weaving of our country. Bengal in particular Dhaka the capital city of Bangladesh was rich in Muslin but that was stopped during the British colonial rule where our loom weavers were put out of business and even punished physically by the British. Our resources were stolen for the benefit of Britain. Weaving is one of the many traditions in our country, and Jamdani saree is famous all over the world. During the 17th and 18th centuries, Mughal Bengal emerged as the foremost muslin exporter in the world, with Mughal Dhaka as capital of the worldwide muslin trade. It became highly popular in 18th-century France and eventually spread across much of the Western world. Dhaka muslin was first showcased in the UK at The Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of All Nations in 1851.

This song was released just before the day of Bengali New Year. In this song, they've shown whole steps of traditional weaving. It's started from cotton to thread counting, and weaving by handloom. Then they've shown in local sari markets and then they start representing to the international marketing level. They finished with a shout out to Bengali pride of Jamdani Sari. Currently local fashion designers are trying to take it to the global level. Within this they've also talked about a affection to a waiver Kalachan by his beloved.

To fully understand the first part of the song, it is recommended to read its English translation. The song highlights the traditional Bangladeshi Saree called Jamdani, crafted by skilled weavers using a wooden handloom. This handloom Saree has been a part of Bangladeshi culture for centuries. The lyricist of this part of the song is Mr. Gonjer Ali, who is himself a weaver and a vocalist. The song starts with the rhythmic sound of the wooden handloom, which is beautifully portrayed in the opening scenes. The atmosphere has been created to connect with the lyrics of the song. Arnab's song part discusses the silk yarn used to weave this fabric. Shatarupa Thakurta Roy wrote this part of the song. The third part of the song is known as Jamdani Bulli, which is the directive given to the young weavers of the fabric by the old skilled weaver of the family while weaving. Oli Boy's part of the song makes it universal. It reveals one of the Nigerian languages translated into English. Oli Boy, a musician and businessman, currently lives in Bangladesh. Arnab has explained in his note why Oli Boy is a part of the episode. Enjoy the song! It's a great rendition!

@Arnob_official- Our first song on 1st Baisakh is about weavers / weavers of Bangladesh. Jamdani is our big tradition, an identity, our pride, but I didn't know that Jamdani loom weaving had some special looms. song He had the Tati song in his bag, written by Shatarupadi. To set the song on Afro beat, African tunes naturally come to mind, I found Olly boy. Who has been working with garments in Bangladesh for the last three years, and speaks and sings in Bengali, what a beauty. Jaya Ahsan is a good friend, wears a Jamdani saree at all events in the country and abroad, appreciates him, and took him as a companion. Apart from acting, not everyone knows that he sings well. First Coke Studio work with Adnan too. Arranged so beautifully.. Choreographed so many stories/characters.. and filmed, songs got extra life. Pritam Haasan/Shubendu/Sion were there the whole time while arranging the music. Strengthened fear of music. The voices of the girls gathered. Savyata, Shanta, Baby Apa, Nishat, Jannat, Afrin, Arif bhai, Makhan, Ganjer Ali with them, I sang Jamdani Buli very fun. Thanks to Abeer and Arnab Roy for encouraging me to do a song on such a subject.. Abeer's enthusiasm was no less than mine. Shaun Bhai, Jihad, Zayan have given their trust equally, all of dot birth. Gautham worked very hard to find the weavers until he approached them and presented them on stage. Thank you to Coke Studio for giving us the opportunity to present Jamdani of Bangladesh to the world Much love to Ammu for finding me Jamdani Buli from Shekhar Uncle's book. Sadul mixed and mastered so beautifully. Thanks to all the other musicians. Special thanks to Afrina Sadia, Jamdani Cloth For decorating us so beautifully. saree As well as how beautiful that unique dress can be, You can see it. Lots of love to Sunidhi To stay, with Rinku bhai, troyee'. I am very proud and grateful, so many people together To decorate this song with our favorite weavers to be able My fan, Coke Studio is from Bengal Lots of love to the fans, and everyone, Happy New Year. Thank you very much for being there. Hope you all like this event. Along with everything else on this 1st Baisakh, we celebrate Jamdani today, along with the whole world. #cokestudiobangla #JamdaniCollection #Pohela Boishakh #celebrations.. #weavers #bangladeshi
