GERMAN REEF TANKS - "SILENT REEF" - the Designer saltwater aquarium with new ATI Straton LED (quiet)

The reef tank (60 x 60 x 60 cm) 300 liter/80 gallon setup by Elias has a setup which is designed to be as quiet as possible regarding the technical area / sump / ATI Straton LED. The aquascape is composed of a mixed stock. Inside there're SPS, LPS and other corals next to some tropical fish. The sump and base cabinet have been fantastically adapted into the cabinet.

Hi Thomas, danke für dein Feedback. Effektiv sind sie trotzdem, natürlich ist die Anwendung von Gummischläuchen für den Ablauf alte Schule, ich wollte mit dem Video trotzdem etwas Inspiration geben, weil leise ist es zu 100% ;)

The Straton is not that widely spread, yet- and BRS has Not done And in depth testing yet- so I‘d like to ask you as a „first hand witness“: doesn’t it have any shimmer at all? I love the optic and the options, to my eyes the shimmering lines on the ground make salty tanks complete... I am targeting the same size- but am very unsure about lighting... a panel like the Straton Or the CoralCare Gen2 would suite me just fine- but in none of the films I‘ve seen so far, one of then has any true shimmer... 😔 Is that intended? Is it just on screen?

The color of the tank looks amazing - are you using orange filters when you film this one - as it looks quite blue - if so I'm impressed the light runs so blue - gonna have to check out the specs - also no fan on the light - amazing. The coral is so good - rubber pipes - that's very smart ;)

Das Ablaufsystem ist selbst angefertigt ;) Benutze auf jeden Fall Schwämme am Auslauf, damit das Geräusch dezimiert wird ;)

Hi I am planning to get a 16 gallon tank and I will probably put it in my room. The only thing is that my room has carpet so do you think there would be any spills if the tank has a lid. Also I am planning to put towels when I’m doing water changes. Would you recommend that?

Hi, your tank is not that big, that shouldn't be a problem. You have to know that as soon as you have an aquarium there is always something going wrong. Ha ha, no matter how much you try to prevent it. But I also had a carpet, that's okay even with the size

@@seafriendlyreef Just watching many clips and find that there is information overload for what I think one would need for a Reef build. I love the size of the tank but Im not sure if I can find one with 3 holes (might be custom) for the silent running, the light looks really nice as well. My thoughts was toI Get a Clarisea instead of the sock but there is no more room for GFO/ Dosing /UV sterilizer etc that I seen in other tanks..Not sure if I need all of theses things for a small tank with 3-4 small fish and coral.
