As a Belgian I can say I look more to the Anglo Saxon world for beauty, not Germany. Just look at the state of that country

Awesome production and script, but the poor sound quality ruins it. I hope you'll record this again some day.

Any advice on improving sound quality? At the moment I think it's just a microphone issue.

I rewatched again and it is not nearly asb bad as I remembered it from earlier, I was a bit too harsh there. I still think there is a micophone issue. Have you tried recording in a different environment? You might be able to improve it even without buying a new one.
