I competed with my GSD in obedience and got our Utility Dog title. It is a delight to see such a smart, talented, eager to please dog with a wonderful temperatment. I have to compliment the dog's trainer/owner as she has done superb work with him.

Great demonstration of how smart and agile German Shepherds really are. There were some pretty complicated moves there as well. I've never seen a dog climb up a wall backwards, They usually just fly over the top after climbing or jumping it. The Teacher must be very special too.

Gourgeous! GSD are one of the most trianable dogs out there, as well as agile and very loving. One thing is for certain, they are eager learners and faithful to pet parent(s). I miss my sweet Angel Lynne and looking forward to hopefully being able to allow myself to heal enough from my loss in order to be blessed with another GSD.

Beautiful dog, and awesome training - your love and respect for each other shines through the whole video, it is absolutely beautiful to watch. You've made me miss my GSD who looked a lot like Lexus, and my Border Collie who was my first dog (except for the Dobies my parents always had) and who drove me nuts until I was advised to take her to obedience and agility classes. She became a very sweet dog when I channeled her energy with that, but before every time I left her alone I'd come back and see a tornado had somehow hit my house, but left my dog intact.

She can be stubborn at times, but she's making progress often and is still very young. I'd love to train her the majority of these tricks... She knows a few of them already. I am really astonished about what Lexus can do. it's insane. I have seen the video where she was 13 weeks (kind of the age of mine), but you have tought her some tricks that mine can't do (yet) ... and it's very impressive... I'm jealous :D Your video is very inspiring, because what you achieved with your dog is exactly what I want to achieve with mine (SKY). My SKY is 13 weeks and so far I achieved: - sit - lay down - sit in front - foot - in between the legs - giving paws - from lay down to sit - laying down on the side (dead) Do you perhaps have some kind of schedual you are sticking to to learn her these things? If so, could you sent me that schedual? Anyway, you seems to have a natural tallent with dogs. Good job!!!!

I assume you've trained the dog yourself? If so, excellent job. It shines in the dogs' eyes that he loves what he's doing, and he loves the person he's doing it with. Too often you see dogs that are trained by fear, but thankfully this one obviously isn't. :) *High Paw* From another shepherd owner ^^

I have a male Belgian shepherd, and from my own personal experience, I advise you not to waste money on complex collars and harnesses (prong collars only teach the dog not to pull because of the pain, not because of YOU asking her not to). What you should do is teach the dog to respect you. Excercise her for a bit and then when all her extra energy is drained put her on a leash and start walking around. Every time she pulls to look/smell at something gently tug her backwards/towards you and stop. When she is next to you start walking again. You obviously need to have one hand very close to her collar on the leash and the other holding the extra length. It will take time but she will eventually learn that when you walk her you are in control and not her, and she will stop pulling.

Thanks! She still kinda tugged me and i scraped my knee but we got her this harness and she seems more comfortable walking in it than the prong collars! She's big compared to me, i walk her in the evenings when its not hot

Awesome tricks!!! Handsome dog with same color and intelligence as my GS Stallone. His life was just cut short due to negligence and incompetent care rendered by the vet who was supposed to heal his left hind leg wobbliness. Take note don't ever let your vet give prednisone and metacam together to your dog for the combination is fatal, can cause abdominal bleeding and bloody diarrhea. I learned the hard way and it caused my beloved Stallone's life. He was eight years old when it happened just recently last Feb.11, 2015. I was teary eyed while watching your Lexus because he really looks exactly like Stallone, dark beauty with same alertness, attentiveness and playfulness. He interacted with us in a very special and caring way that made us think he's human. Word of advice, be extra cautious in letting your dog jump, leap or run too much for they're prone to develop hip dysplasia or hind leg weakness.
