We took a chance with a German Shepherd who'd flunked out of foster care due to fear aggression (past abuse) and aggression against other dogs. When she first arrived, she shook like a leaf in a corner for almost three hours. The she put her head in my lap and rolled those big golden eyes up at me like "are you going to hurt me?". Broke my heart. We were never able to 100% overcome her fear aggression, but she'd tolerate other dogs at the dog park. Her ultimate weakness was orphan kittens, and she'd melt into a big puddle of goo over them. We rescued and fostered orphan ferals, carefully keeping kittens in another room. Well, one got out and ran to snuggled against her. Love at first sight! After that, she worried and fussed and made over ALL kittens like she was their mama. If they cried, she cried. Best part was them trailing after her everywhere! Our back yard is fully enclosed with 6-foot fencing, so when she went out to do her business, kittens followed. She housebroke them! We lost her to an enlarged heart 4 years ago. And I still miss her. Every. Day. If we weren't half a country away from California, we'd explore adopting Kailani.

You guys _want_ orphans... I know what you're trying to say, but realize what you're saying. There's nothing wrong with saying "If they have puppies that need a mom..." but wishing they have orphans?!? That's a new level of depravity.
@aggiekiss97832 жыл бұрын
Puppies that need a mom are obviously orphans. Otherwise they would HAVE a mom. I didnt wish for orphans . There are always orphans at some shelter . Many times ppl do not fix the mom and abandon the pups.
@aggiekiss97832 жыл бұрын
Somewhere in some shelter there are 100% some orphans and i wished they would be able to get those to the rescue. Win win for momma and the puppies .Thats what i meant .
@Undomaranel2 жыл бұрын
@@aggiekiss9783 Look at your original comment fam. "I wish they had some puppies that needed a momma..." That is straight up HOPING FOR OPRHANS. That's not "I wish IF YOU HAVE ANY puppies" or "I hope she could foster if the need arises". You are WISHING there are puppies without a mother, simply so this beautiful GSD has some. That's the same as hoping some child is abandoned or in the system after abuse just so your niece can relieve her baby fever. Nuance is important because subliminal messaging shows intent. Please rethink what your priorities are.

I didn’t think I could make it thru when she was trying to revive her puppy, but I decided to share her experience with emotional support. If she went through it, who was I that couldn’t “get thru” it! So happy that I watched this amazing rescue video. Good for you Eldad for sleeping with her and staying by her side for surgery. Happy New Year and my wish is that you’ll add a million more viewers and donors as well. Wouldn’t hurt to have a few more volunteers in your area as well, I’m sure.

It took a lot of patience to put trust in this animal because she didn't know who to trust even though she wanted help for her puppy. She also didn't want it taken from her that is why she guarded her puppy so much. He wanted her to feel that he was trying to help.

I really appreciated the gentleness and kindness of the man who caught her and spent the next 24 hours in the room with her, to stabilize her emotionally. Female dogs can take it as hard as women in losing a baby/puppy, and the NEED that stuffed toy as a substitute for the pup(s) they lost. I donated $5 just now, this is a wonderful organization and I have watched many of their videos in the past couple years.
