Excellent demonstration! I love how you show what not to do because that was where I was getting stuck while moving the thumb down. Thanks!

Another well demonstrated video by you. It is so easy to follow you. You speak clearly, you show the technique numerous times at a perfect pace and the close up of the camera is perfect. Thank you again.

After watching several videos AT LAST. Thanks soooo much. All that it was was that swing of the thumb.

Mimi, I tried and tried to "get" this cast on with several other videos......couldn't get it until I tried your video. YAY!!! I got it and will be practicing this over and over before starting my first pair of knit socks. Thank you!

This video is what got me to understand the cast on, thank you! The mistake your student made was what I was doing too, so thank you for explaining that!

Great video, but this is only the knit cast on, would love to see you do both knit and pearl cast on with this method, thanks for the tutorial.

Is there somewhere that suggests how long to make the tail, like ½' per stitch?

Thank you for great video tutorial! Your speed setup in the video was much needed to get the steps grasped right away! I had no trouble at all following your methods. I do have one question though, what would you suggest to do when the tail is no longer enough to accommodate the cast on? Redo all over with longer tail? I really hope there is another way. Please assist. Thank you!

I find it easier to swing the thumb down, at the very last step, before you pull the stitch through. it just keeps things more taught.
