Today I went to Las Vegas to see the implosion of the iconic lasvegas, Hotel Tropicana two huge buildings came crumbling down after 67 years. It was absolutely spectacular with a huge drone show and firework something I’ve never seen before. It was incredible.

I have a lot of fond memories of that building. My uncle was a roulette table dealer there .we used to fly in on his private airplane stay the weekend. He would fly us back home to San Diego. I miss him.

was on vacation in L.V. and in germany the Tropicana was really famous all the tv shows,movies,mafia stories all the wild stuff.Glad i could spent time there bcos now its just history .

Wow, the fireworks show did the Tropicana good, on it's way out, after 67 years!!!!! Kind of sad that it took so long to build an awesome building and it stood for 67 years, and approx. 1 second, it's leveled!!! Thanks Mike, for another awesome video!!!!! I used to live there. Was a dealer at different casinos and also drove the shuttle buses from the airport to all the hotels on the strip and downtown. I was at the Luxor dropping off when Princess Diana was just arriving there.

We used to drive to Vegas all the time. Was only about 4 hours from our house in Riverside, and we stayed at the Tropicana often. They had really good deals on their rooms. Don't know where we'll stay now.

Years ago I went to watch the towers at a power station being blown near where I live, and the thing I remember most is the dust! Hopefully it contained no asbestos. These days around here they keep the timings secret so as NOT to attract any crowds.

We stayed at the Trop in May of 1984 and we had to cross a Union picket line to get in. The next morning a bomb exploded damaging the car we were using.

We just went to Vegas last week from LA in a BMW 330 M. After getting Dino’ on Pico with extra poulet juice & drinks/waters from Gelson’s in SilverLake we took off. I averaged 94mph the Whole way. minus a car flipped over bad accident. We passed everyone. A bunch of Lowriders were going there to on flatbed trucks. Second or third time doing the LA to Vegas trip.

I always thought demolition teams just destroyed stuff for a living, sounded so fun. Then I saw my airport get remodeled and them striping and sorting all the different materials off before actually tearing it down. Looked like a pain in the ass.

In the 1960 all the Mafia casinos had naked showgirl shows...the Tropicana had the Folies Bergere showgirl show. The showgirl is the symbol of Vegas But in today's corporate Vegas, there is not one naked showgirl show on the Vegas Strip. Now all the shows are magic shows and circus shows. Corporate Vegas is now a Sunday School, compared to Mafia Vegas.
