Hey Mike! This is one of the very best video's you've ever done, EPIC!!!! A shame Michael Landon isn't still here. I can just see that wide smile he had, he would have loved it! I miss Mr. Edwards too!!! I've read all the books and have watched all the shows, many many times! It is sad to see that golf cart and the picture of Michael, Mr. Edwards, and whoever else riding in it back then, having fun, laughing and cutting up, and so sad that they're gone now!!! A shame times aren't like this anymore! Thanks so much for taking us along Mike!!! I didn't just like this video, I lovedddddddddddddddddddddddd it!!!! My then husband and I went to L.A. for vacation in 2003 and spent a day exploring Santa Monica and Malibu. We were pleasantly surprised to stumble across the Michael Landon Community Center in Malibu. For those who haven't been there, it's across from Pepperdine University! The park where it sits overlooks the Pacific Ocean and is unbelievably scenic.

FYI Mike, Michael Landon Jr. is the developer and executive producer (also wrote and directed some episodes) of the show "When Calls the Heart" which has been running for 11 seasons on the Hallmark Channel. It is set in 1910 in a coal mining town in western Canada and has much the same feel as Little House on the Prairie. It is shot in Langley, British Columbia at what is called the Jamestown movie set on the property of MacInnes Farms. Fun fact is Dom DeLuise's son Peter is a regular director for the show as well. One of my kids has been a crew member on the show for the past 7 seasons.

Michael Landon knew how to make good entertainment. He lives on in hearts. Thank you Michael. I saw more of his later works. The really fun thing in the seventies was wearing clothes like that..Gunni Sax dresses etc. I think that show reflected not just the great teachable stories but the hard work and “simple” life. They feel like a family, don’t they? Melissa is still so pretty. What delightful people they all are, huh? The lady who played Nellie Olsen reminds me of my aunt. ❤️ Haha, the glum face behind the two of you in the photograph adds to the story.🤭 I wish you could have seen the set of Bonanza. I have a picture of me at 11 sitting on a pretend copy of Buck. Pa Cartwright's Buckskin Horse at The Ponderosa Ranch Theme Park in Incline Village Lake Tahoe. I had my brown hair in two braids just like Laura Ingalls. Melissa Gilbert is a year older than I am. The Ranch closed years ago, but you could walk through the house. I got to ride real horses there also. I had a Tin Cup with Lil Joe (Michael Landon) Hoss, and Pa. I also have an older sister with Blonde hair like Mary. We didn't have a Baby Carrie. The Lord is My Shepherd is also one of my favorite Little House episodes. I have this one on DVD.😊 So I really appreciated your picture on Laura's Horse in your video. I'm glad they had the horse there it reminded me of this memory ❤

Thank you! Great job! I can tell you this TV show saved my life and my sisters. We would hardly ever miss an episode. I remember as a young child (about 6 or 7) going on a trip with my father and sister and we went to visit one of my fathers friends and then after we where going to leave to visit another one of his friends. The TV was on and I made a fuss because Little House on the prairie came on. I cried saying I wanted to stay and watch it and my father's friends said it was okay let the girls stay and watch as he would be back in a couple hours. But, he didn't come back that evening because he was in a car accident and if we had been with him we wouldn't have made it out of the car accident. He spent the night in the hospital pretty banged up. So that's how Little House on the prairie saved our lives❤❤ Such a great show....I still love to watch... wholesome Television 🤗

Brought back so many memories!! Loved this show. Loved Touched by an Angel. When I was a teenager we went to vaca in LA & we stayed at the Beverly Hilton (quite the hot spot back then). There was a famous restaurant in the hotel, Trader Vics. It was my Mom, Aunt & I. I assumed we'd be seated in or near the kitchen LOL Although Mom was quite the stunner, with not a hair out of styled place, perfect makeup etc. So she chatted with the maître d' & he led us to this little island in the middle of the restaurant. The tables were very close. My Mom whispered something to me like "they are people too, don't stare." I didn't grasp why she said this. Then we were seated. To our left was Elton John, to our right Michael Landon!!!! People were staring from all over, but my Mom acted as if we were seated between any regular folks. A couple people kept coming to Michael Landon, while he was clearly trying to eat. So Mom positioned her handbag so they couldn't get by LOLOL He gave her a nod & ear to ear smile. So we all ate a great meal. Michael Landon was done a bit before us and on his way out stopped, smiled at all of us, told us what a pleasure to have been seated there, a little chit chat and smiled with such gratitude at my Mom. It was a great experience as well as a great lesson. Plus a short but lovely interchange. OH.... this would have been during the Little House years and I was shocked that his hair was totally gray. STUNNING but gray. But when we saw him on TV in a month or so, it was blonde. So guess he colored it for shows for many years. Quite the handsome man either way!!! Elton John didn't even glance at us LOL
