@@iwanbottos5128 I think you mean 2014? I didnt care much. To me it was obvious that it was a mental breakdown in the team rather than pure domination. Even German players recognized that Brazil was not in its usual form that day, and if they played again and again that result would not be the same. All the other previous games were pretty stressful, and all stress and anxiety culminated in that game. Without some key players such as Neymar and Thiago Silva, confidence was really low, and stress really high. And honestly, after the 4th goal i started laughing, my little brother however, cried.

This was my first WC and I still remember it vividly -- the entire tournament, not just this game. I was 11 years old and living in Taiwan, so the combination of being at the right age to start watching sports and the tournament being close to home made it the first major international sports tournament that I ever payed close attention to. Looking back almost two decades later, I think this was indeed a special WC, from a number of surprising early exits (France, Argentina, Italy), Casillas's heroic performance v Ireland, Korea cheating their way to the semi-final, and the fastest ever goal in WC history, etc. to the abundance of dark horses (USA, Korea, Turkey, Senegal). But in the end, arguably the two best football nations made it to the final. All in all a wholesome WC viewing experience.

Imagine being Kahn in this match: You know that only thanks to your efforts a weak team has managed to enter the finals. You have held every possible ball but now, you have to face the first big football nation in the entire worldcup. And then.. you make this one mistake everybody will talk about for years. I know Brazil deserved to win this WC, but imagine Germany had won: Then Oliver Kahn would be the reason for their victory. Not because he scored the goals, but because he made sure the opponents didn't score ANY goals. And this absolutely incredible. I was 4 yrs old when I watched this. For some reason my favourite players were Rivaldo and Cafu. I remember thinking German goalie was better than Brazilian goalie. Only later when I grew up did I fully appreciate this team. I want Latin teams to win Qatar 2022. Europe has won 4 times in a row, too much. Edit : I said Latin because I'm Asian.

Yes. 2006 too is Golden Team. Ofc R9 is not in his prime. He even in bench sometime. And thats make sense. R9 not in his prime. But Kaka, Adriano, and R10. They are in their best perform Especially Ronaldinho in 2006. 2x Best FIFA Player of the Year 1x Ballon d Or. JUST win his UCL with Barcelona. But in the match against France, Ofc Zizou give an Amazing performance, But R10, Kaka , Adriano really don.t perform to their best.
