Well beyond things like this, obviously even now the results of WW2 are still deeply felt. There would not have been such a huge divide between east and west Europe if not for the race to Berlin and the Soviet Union forcing the countries in the east to fall on its side of the Iron Curtain both politically and militarily. There would not be strong commitment to the international order upheld by the western countries, probably no EU etc. etc.

I don't care about American soldiers who are mainly occupied with killing terrorists and enemies of the US. I am fed up of our lazy armies and the EU who is not strong enough to defend it's borders against migrants! The EU memberstates have to give more power to Brussels, to ensure every European is safe! Our American allies are always welcome here. At the moment however, I think US forces would be better placed on Taiwan, the Philippines, or South Korea. Perhaps a good idea to have a token force of a few fighters and 1 division of European troops to be deployed in the pacific, to show the Chinese that the US is not alone in defending our allies there.

@Larry on Blitz Sorry but that's almost completely wrong. Firstly, Britain offered her neutrality in any future European wars as long as Germany was not the aggressor however Grey's offer was not enough for the Germans who insisted that was insufficient, Germany had to be able to wage an aggressive war and have British neutral in that conflict (so as to severely weaken France by depriving her of her primary ally). Secondly, Tirpitz had been scheming to achieve British neutrality through the expansion of the Kaiserliche Marine, so as to deprive France of her "guardian angel" to allow Germany to crush France. Thirdly, Germany did very little (as opposed to the British) to de-escalate the July Crisis. The Kaiser had no qualms about supporting an Austro-Hungarian war against Serbia despite the international implications: the Kaiser "would find it regrettable if we did not seize the present moment" to invade Serbia. The Kaiser was adamant on "settling accounts with Serbia" and he saw it as "now or never" since he believed that Serbia was the greatest threat to the Austro-Hungarian monarchy (his greatest ally) and wished to see that Serbia was crushed, again, in spite of the international implications. The most that Germany did to prevent war was the "Halt in Belgrade" which the Kaiser, due to being capricious and indecisive, issued in a vain attempt to order the Austro-Hungarian armies to halt in Belgrade. If I recall correctly the Austro-Hungarians never occupied Belgrade until December 1914 so the invasion of Serbia alone was sufficient to provoke a World War which proves how worthless the Kaiser's attempts at de-escalation were.

German KFOR fired 200+ bullets at two Serb civilian-refugees in a Lada car.) Nazism did not came from nothing, nor could it easily disappear. It is simply a fruit given by a German tree, the color may be different, but the essence is the same. (In the 19th century, Franz Bopp wrote about Indo-Germans as hypernation. Sounds familiar?)
