Besides weapon development, I'd say that as a German, it took me many years to realize what made German products and culture so outstanding during the last centuries. I grew up with classical music and had a happy childhood, everything was so common for me. Bach was standard, Beethoven, Mozart, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Bruch... of course. My mom used to tell me about all the painting artists, but yes, not only German ones. My dad was an engineer and had quite some skills. The companies around our area were so common, that I never thought it would be something outstanding. Metabo is located in my hometown, Festool 15 km, Stihl 20 km, Bosch and Mercedes Benz 30 km away. I never thought that inventing and constructing was something that Germany did somehow better than other counties. I thought that houses are built the same way in the whole world!

Deutschland hat den Leopard 2 A 8 bestellt. Der Panther braucht noch 10 Jahre zur Serienreife, weil er im Grunde genommen ein umgebauter Leo 2 ist.

Ja man nimmt das ausgereifte Fahrgestell vom Leo. Ungarn und Italien die schon erst mal 250 Stk. bestellt haben stellen den Panther nun fertig. Deutschland schraubt aber lieber weiterhin an dem Leo herum dem seine gute alte Zeit vorbei ist. Der Panther mit seiner Automatik - Kanone oder seinen mitgeführten Drohnen usw. würde den Leo aus doppelter Entfernung nun in seine Einzelteile zerlegen.

Sorry but what you are reacting to is a commercial video from Rheinmetall. Yes, Rheinmetall is one of our biggest defense companies, but not the only one. The Video only shows what Rheinmetall will, or is able to offer to German Bundeswehr, it does not mean that the Bundeswehr will take it. Panther and Fuchs EVO will never find its way to German Heer because Germany has chosen Leopard 2A8 and Patria.

Just because Rheinmetall developed it doesn't mean that the Bundeswehr has it too. Apart from the RCH155, the Bundeswehr has not ordered any of it.

@LegendaryMusicUnited meine Infos? Es gibt nur einen test/demonstrarorfahrzeug. Die bundeswehr setzt auf das deutsch/französische Fahrzeug und italien und noch ein Land wollen den Panther kaufen und haben die endfinazierung für Forschung bezahlt. Dazu wird in Italien auch erst ne fabrik gebaut irgendwann und Quelle rheinmetall selbst les dir die Pressemeldungen vom Konzern durch du Vogel

Perhaps it was not clear how innovative the future export tank could become. He is different from the leopards in the army: The KF51-Panther is modular and fully digital. A seat can be used by anyone, from a drone pilot to a tank general near the front. By the way, you can now mount a weapon station in the rear for short-range defense in an emergency. This is what they call “Natter” at Rheinmetall. They are constantly developing them further and through digitalization it would be conceivable that various vehicles from the mechanized association could provide reconnaissance. So reconnaissance results from radar systems and drones would also be received and the snake would then react autonomously. To the detriment of the environment, of course, infantry units should also be in ground combat and close to the vehicles. They don't like to see that in the army because they also look for protection behind the vehicles or the infantry ensures close-range protection. The KF51 is not used or ordered or planed to order from the Bundeswehr. The Bundeswehr is developing a tank with france and spain currently. The Rheinmetall KF51 was selfmade and they tried to get orders because of the security situation after the start of the ukrainian-russian war. And as i know till now their are not real interests for this vehicle, except the ukraine. But the current Leopard2 is since the A6 from the independendmilitary instirution who ranks military equipment the best tank in the world. The RCH155 is also not used or ordered by the Bundeswehr. Its right that germany has one of the most modern military technologys and companys. But most they are producing is not in our army or for our army. Maybe in several years of we really do upgrade our army instead of save them dead. But currently our army has to manage other problems like lack of ammo, lack of maintance parts, lack of everything including soldiers to solve. 25-30 years of neglect has to be solved.
