The brazilian goalie from that game Moacyr Barbosa was later denied a visit to the brazilian national team at a training camp because they were afraid he'd bring bad luck - that was 1993, so 43 years AFTER Maracanaço. 3. The trophy was handed to the Uruguay team in the catacombs, they believed it was too dangerous to do it in the stadium. 4. When Alcides Ghiggia scored that decisive goal, the stadium went absolutely silent - that was about 200.000 people at that game. So all in all I'd say Maracanaço is still considered a much bigger tragedy than Mineiraço.
