As a German, I have to say, this is one of the most beautiful games I've ever seen, even if we've been at the wrong end of it. Who cares if there was a foul before a goal. I'm Costa Rican, but I'm from Italian descent. I still have this bitter taste of Italy's elimination to Sweden, but I really congratulate the Swedish team. Last two qualifiers they had to face tough teams: Germany, Portugal, France, Netherlands, and Italy. Sweden, not being an elite team, did fairly well against all of them. UEFA's qualifier system is broken. How can a team that drew this way against Germany in Berlin be left out of the cup and a team like Bosnia could? Sweden have to get a better defence. And Sweden had the toughest qualifying: Germany, Portugal, Ireland and Austria! Iceland had Lagerbäck as coach, he coached Sweden to WC and EM 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008. Had he taken Iceland to the WC he would have secured a Staty 40meters high in Rejkjavik. :-)

This applies only to current German team as Germany of old before 2002 WC would have closed the game out. You could not imagine similar thing to Italians, Spaniards or just about anybody else. This was the crucial WC Qualifier but Germans were so far ahead that they could have even effoort to loose and still qualify.
