Around half of Chinese e-car imports come from Western manufacturers, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on Tuesday (May 14) when asked to weigh in on the debate of possible EU tariffs on electric vehicles from China.
Speaking at a joint press conference with his Swedish counterpart Ulf Kristersson during his two-day trip to Stockholm, Scholz pointed out the many overlaps and mutual exchanges between China and the EU.

US gov did not consider that China has huge imports in US agriculture and livestock products. Since US actions against Huawei 5 years ago, Chinese goverment has accelerate its program to be self sufficient in all foods produce, and rely less on imports. China also gradually reduce agricultural and livestock import from US and looks else way. In the end, what those tariffs policies have hurt US agricultural industries. Chinese agricultural technology way behind by 10 years against US. Intead of keeping the lead. US gov give China strong motivation to catch up. Hehehe China Geely and Leap Motor will enter the American market without tariff. Both are entering through European partners. They are producing the EVs for the European partners to sell to USA market. Their European partners are companies that own the Volvo and Maserati brands respectively. Such partnership will be duplicated throughout Europe. Next will be VW and even Daimler of which one of its shareholder is Geely. All these European companies will make a lot of money in the American market. The American manufacturers without the Chinese cost effectiveness and supply chain will lose out. Also one more surprise. When has China sell so much semiconductor to USA that end up threatening American companies? Something is brewing here or already brewed and it must be China is selling tons of legacy chips to USA. This is not going to stop. The price from Micron compare to those from China of the same technical specs is 4 times. Some place even higher. 2 years down the road China will flood the American market with advance chip also. The Huawei Ascend AI chips has claimed to be better than Nvidia A100 is being sold a fifth of the A100 price. Beidou China has already starting to rip the Nvidia chip A800s out to be replaced by Ascend. Call this a punishment, China style.

Were these US politicians around in the 1970s? The reason why Americans companies went to china is due to the cost of manufacturing which was lower than the US. This is because, certain basic items had become unaffordable like new cars have become now. The problem is our economic model that depends on credit and in which taxes and fees must keep rising to keep up with interest rates. How can a country live within its means in a place where there is always trade imbalance and to maintain it, money must be borrowed to try and balance the trade or keep it going?

Free market economy is competición for the benefit of the consumer, protectionism policies is the past, embrace the future competition is good. The USA failed to invest to compete in the future but instead invest in Afghanistan, Syria, Irak, Libya and Ukraine billions of taxpayer money that didn’t bring any benefits to the American taxpayers and consumers.

Both Germany and Sweden are wise. The United States is stupid. China has a lot of advantages including hardworking and productive workforce, highly automated factories and well established supply chain. The US and Europe have no chance to compete with China. Tariffs are just for show. They will not slow down the Chinese industry because demands from the rest of the world are enough to sustain the Chinese industry. What the US and Europe should do is to buy cheap Chinese products to their advantage, and at the same time find ways to strengthen their own industry.

Dumping products? That no one wants? Does he know why Chinese products are cheap? How many hours of sleep do your people get comparing to Chinese workers? How often do they see their families in a year? Do you research.

Lukewarm is taken from the Bible and no coincidence that these politicians use that word. Some of us knows exactly whats going on in this world right now. They cant hide, when the most High Jesus descends from Heaven! Maranatha✝️
