Welcome to another video! In May 2023, I traveled from Frankfurt Germany to Zürich, Switzerland on a EuroCity train service. I had originally planned to take an ICE Service to Basel and then catch another train down to Zürich, but a last-minute change of plans meant I'd be taking the slower EuroCity Instead. EuroCity is a category of cross-border trains in Europe's Inter-city rail network. These trains are operated by two or more separate rail companies. Either from an EU Country or Switzerland. My journey today begins in Frankfurt where I'll catch an ICE service down to Mannheim, Germany. Then, I'll be getting on a Delayed EuroCity (EC 9) from Hamburg, which will take us on a nearly 4-hour ride over to Zürich, Switzerland.
Enjoy!
