Came across this video. I live in Germany . Moved a year ago for a job. You said everything correct except one thing that it’s difficult to learn German. If you had come here and learnt German , it would be very easy as compared to learn German from India. You just need to join classes and practice as much as you can . You get lot of option to practice Deutsche here. Getting English job is little difficult but not impossible.

Germany used to be the top dog in EU. Now Germany and Netherland are both in recession. Germany lost its winning edge: cheap gas from Russia. Many German companies are moving out of Germany to survive. Good luck in surviving the upcoming winter.

I don't know that much about Canada but as someone living in Nordics and having visited Germany many times I do agree with you to some extent. Language is a major barrier not only in Germany but overall Europe otherwise countries like Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, The Netherlands are way way better than North America. Btw, it isn't that difficult to get PR or citizenship in Germany if you pass the required language test...and so is the case with Finland too. However it is difficult to get a citizenship in Norway.

Very very true! If you are in any Schengen countries, you have to know the language of the country, to be able to find employment, daily communication with people...life will be easier in general then. I learned to the highest level of Dutch language ( I live in Dutch area of Belgium) in the first months here. Now after many years here I speak , read and write Dutch reasonably well. I even speak local dialects...and the local people here appreciate it a lot. I think it also helps in getting citizenship of the country...at least here in Belgium, they interview in Dutch

The economy of countries cannot be compared by looking at exports only. For example, the last person you interviewed was working for Google in a software-related job. His contribution to Canada's economy is labelled as a service, which has been the fastest-growing sector. Also unemployment rate in Canada is 5% and not 9.

1:07 Sure majorly German unis me fees nahi hota but the state of Baden Wuerttemberg (BW) applies tuition fees for international students. Mene Tuebingen se master's kiya tha, I used to pay 1500 euros per semester for tuition fees and 150 euros for miscellaneous. Although dormitory was super cheap compared to residences in Canadian Unis... Aur public transportation was good enough, Canada is very car dependant country.... Also BW state me there are many well-reputated univerities like Heidelberg Uni (one of the oldest university in Germany, 1300s me bana tha), Tuebingen Uni (1477 year me), Freiburg Uni, Mainz (JGU), Karlsruhe (KIT), Stuttgart.... ye saare uni top 10 list me rehte hai QS ya THE ke polls me... I did only A2 German and I survived for 3 years there, but surely if you want to get into the culture and make German friends then you need German language, other than that you can get by since many Germans speak English as well (or atleast where I was) Ab Carleton University me hu and prices here are ridiculous...

Everything is correct, except the language part in Germany. First, language is not a big problem, since you can get away by speaking English in metropolitans. Second, it's wayyyy easier to learn the language efficiently in Germany itself. SO having lived in Germany for almost 10 years now, I don't think language is that big an issue.

As far as overtime is concerened, if you have work experience in India I don't think it'd be that much of a problem. Yaha toh hum waise hi 50-55 ghante kaam karte hai on a 5 day work week without getting paid for overtime.

And thats why most companies with Indian, pakistani, Bangladeshi, etc employees becomes a toxic work environment. Meanwhile the whites, blacks, and local desi only prefer working the 40h max. But the standard goes down.

Thanks Patel da for the video. I was also confused to choose between these two countries. Canada was my dream. But considering the consequences, I think Germany wins the race in all the factors except language. Can you suggest some ideas about how can we achieve German language proficiency to a basic level in a shorter period of time? Take love from Bangladesh
