His music talks to people....he communicates his emotions so clearly....and I wish he was still around. Bless him may he be in a happier place, For this world is too cruel for pure souls like DAX.

I am so glade I got to see him play. (at a shopping mall of all places) I was only 10 at the time but his music still rings in my ears 10 years later. Talking to him and getting my parents to buy a hard copy c.d. and having him sign it. Every time i pull out that cd I reminds me how life can make a sharp turn. I am glade to see his legacy continue with many more followers. I wish he was here to perform for us all RIP Dax Johnson.

I followed his music probably about 10 years ago or more and I'm pretty sure he committed suicide. I remember reading a post somewhere by I think his daughter but it's very vague in my memory so please don't quote me on this. I remember feeling very sad because I found his music and fell in love with it's beauty and then looked him up to find out he was dead. [update] I just looked it up again and officially it's been called an unintentional overdose. So sad :/

To Ferina jjg Dax was found on or about November 23rd, 2005 on the streets or alley ways of Los Angeles, as I imagine, collapsed due to a drug overdose with matted hair and looking like any other junkie at that time. He was picked up and rushed to a clinic where he died. In my mind, I have the timeline and the circumstances of his death and the reasons for it; too much for me to type here. I discovered Dax on a Friday evening on June 25th, 2010 via KZbin. His music was mesmerizing to me and I searched to learn more about him. I was devastated to learn that he had died in 2005. I have seen and/or recorded much about him. Like Mozart, which I like to use in comparisons, he/Dax died way too soon. We have lost a tremendous artist. It makes my heart ache to know that he is gone. I have all of his available albums (4 at present count; his specials are not available but the channel "Javo LyricVids" has them) with one autographed by him; what a score for me! I have paid a lot of money to get these CDs. You can pay less by visiting his website created by his family members. The site is www.daxjohnson.com/ and some of his CDs are still available for purchase. Otherwise, you will have to download the digital files (I'm at a loss for this type of purchase. I wish I could order his 8-track versions. Hint, hint.) I wish you luck in purchasing his music. All proceeds go to his children's education fund. I remain Dax Johnson's #1 fan and I'll fight anyone to the death for that title.

+Georgina Dawg You are correct. I knew the guy & still consider him to be a dear friend. I met him years & years ago at Northtown where he was playing, right around the time he recorded the Random & the purpose. Last time I saw him was outside Boo Radleys in Downtown Spokane shortly before he left for LA to record his last album. At that time I had a lot on my plate & didn't have a lot of time to talk to or spend time with him or anyone else really. Looking back, I really wish I made the time. He had been struggling with addiction for as long as I knew him, with periodic periods of sobriety & relapse. I didn't find out about how hard of a time e was having in LA until after he passed. Since then, I find myself asking if things might have been different had others like me made the time & reached out more. Naturally such questions are an exercise in futility, but none the less, the questions still hang around. Like ghosts that lurk in the depths of the mind.

From what I have learned, mesarosmeske97, Dax played by ear and, though he composed music, he didn't "write" music. He took about a ten (10) minute lesson on the piano when he was young and, from there, began practicing and developing his personal style and music. However, others may have written his music down (I hope so) and, hopefully, they will see your request and respond. I have two of his albums and listen to his music every day. Best of luck in finding sheet music of Dax's work.
