There’s the smile I’ve been waiting for 😊❣️ So happy you’re better and was able to walk (despite the wobbly legs) and stay at a nice place with entertainment to boost 🎸❣️ And the awe-inspiring diary of a persevering peregrino continues…

No worries. Take your time to rest some more. Keep up that reviving spirit for us poor mortals who can just imagine what it’s like to experience your kind of journey. Well, speaking for myself anyway 😅 Take care ________ (Sorry I don’t even know your name 😅)

😄 but once the backlog starts to pile up, and new experiences keep getting added to the pile, the Universe might explode! 🤯 it’s just… so much to put into videos. it must be done. cheers! 🌞 Gerrit

It certainly would have been great to run with Jim at Leon... When you're sociable it's hard to walk alone, but there are always new people along the way, u can see! 🥰Amazing albergue with amazing people surround u! Very cozy on the sofa... 🤗Good luck and: this is the way...🍀

Just when I thought your diaries couldn't get more personal, deeper and profound. 'I don't have a destination' except 'I really need to do something for my soul'. Thank you for this, I needed to hear this today. Sending you strength on your one foot in front of the other.

Laura, thank you so much… and it’s amazing how ‘just walking’ is just so effective

Hi Gerrit, How cool to see you walk again! The famous German horse whisperer Tamme Hanken (1960-2016) always said that for most animals (including us) moving (walking, running) is an important part of the way we digest food. And I'm sure not only food, but also many other, less material, things like emotions, instincts or even frustrations are solved by having your whole organism moving. 'Healing through movement', I wouldn't be surprised if someone else has been already very busy with this theme. So I wish you a swift recovery and always remember the unofficial slogan of 'Essen 2010, Cultural Capital of Europe' : 'Woanders is auch Scheisse' ('Somewhere else is also shit').

🤯🤩 is that the best slogan *ever*, or what? 😆 thoroughly enjoying being able to walk (and eat) again! motion fixes most things. it’s true. and so simple. thanks for your great perspective ☀️

Great video and reflections. At moments like these Chris Martin always pops up in my head and start singing: "nobody said it was easy, nobody ever said it would be this hard."

The picture of you smiling at the dinner table in Oncina was worth a thousand words, you looked so happy in that moment. The sounds at the end...perfect way to make me feel as if I was listening...right there, in that moment. Glad you are feeling better. I also took that alternative route and was glad I did. Happy walking Gerrit :)

Good to see you are up and running again! And you picked the alternative route. Horizons, big skies, countryside and so much quieter than the main track, not to mention all those earth dwellings. A wise decision. Never knew of this little nice albergue in Oncina. Oh, and you have captured well the long and ugly exit out of Leon linking it to wise words expressing how you So, happy walking!

The walker walks again! Is it a coincidence that Leon spelled backwards is Noel and this just happens to be May 25th which is 5/12 Christmas?
