I know you will probably never see this but for anyone that may do; Gerry is from Glasgow in Scotland. Gerry didn't sign with a label for many years because they didn't want him to sing in his Scottish accent. Many Scots are told to mellow their accent in the main stream, Paolo Nutini also talks about this too. Cinnamon is legend in Glasgow for staying true to himself and our wee population of Scotland. I think you would really enjoy his TRSNMT performances too!

Saw him live at Leeds but been following him for much longer. Why on earth would anyone want to 'tone down' the best accents from the British Isles?? Just goes to show, those in the know in music, don't know. Alba gu brath!

and a wee bit more info, he was actually brought up in a housing scheme called Castlemilk which is next to the national stadium that he is playing in

True Glaswegian accents are difficult to understand (even for other Scots lol) but I grew up literally 15 minutes from Glasgow (and now live in the East End) so it’s easy for me. What he’s saying: “Are yous up for wan mare?” (Are you all up for one more?) “I dinnae know wit tae say am a wee bit f*kin emotional right now av got nae patter” (I don’t know what to say I’m a little f*king emotional right now and I’ve got nothing to say) “This wan is fir Hampden” (This one’s for Hampden) “Ye feel it?” (Do you feel that?) “Ir ye with me glesga?” (Are you all with me Glasgow?) “Gee is it!” (Give me it!)

I love Gerry Cinnamon! I’ve been listening to him for about 4 years ever since I heard one of his songs on Louis’ Spotify playlist and this man has one of the best discography’s! It’s just banger after banger! Hope you listen to him more

I was there at Hampden Park...Probably the the best gig ive ever been to...as the crowds left the stadium everyone was still singing Canter... what a night.

ah yay! He is SO underrated. I recommend his song 'Belter' as well. Here are the lyrics below for this song because they are SO powerful, but hard to pick up here in this live performance!!!! Lol yea he has a VERY strong Glaswegian accent (Scottish) so can be hard to understand dw - I'm from the UK myself, this accent is hard to understand at times. Gerry cinnamon is rare af he just knows how yo work a crouwd..he makes it fun af thats the first point..but he backs that up with genuinely great lyrics and as ye dive deeper ye will see... They are quite relevant..hes such a great guy..
