Growing up with Thunderbirds, Fireball, Stingray.... This was a warm return to a comfy childhood. I hope to see more. Although they may only be puppets to some... they offer that tangible realism that CGI just cannot seem to get quite right. My kids and I will be watching with anticipation.

Just love everything about the test footage, from Sam's puppet movements to the realistic models and special effects. If Gerry were still alive today, I believe he would give this, and the pilot minisode, a FABulous thumbs up. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE FULL SERIES!!

Well that was super short. But you've got to admit the Ultramarionation puppets and so much more realistic than the old Supermarionation puppets. Wouldn't mind even seeing a Thunderbirds short done in Ultramarionation in 2021.

You almost could've when Asylum Pictures made their Thunderbirds IR trailer back in 2003. If you look at that and Firestorm, there's plenty of similarities. Though of course these Firestorm puppets are just that 15 years more modern and advanced ;)

I've nothing to say how magnified I was when I first watched this. It's stupendous! In fact if we ever do get a fully fledged series one day, I'd certainly love to see more beautifully crafted futuristic machines and vehicles, maybe even see bit of a call back to Supermarionation days when Forced Perspective was used more for most Earth Scenes, even commercially available diecast toy cars (Vintage and present) making nice cameos!

What I like is the techniques aren't exclusively animation, but combinations of high tech. A five or ten minute short is about right for the average audience's attention span. As the writing develops, maybe very interesting and complex plots can develop. Thanks again, Jamie.

From the two Firestorm shorts I have now seen, I must say that, with those head/body proportions, and the animatronics, you really seem to have reached to optimum in terms of both physical and facial expressiveness. I look forward to seeing complete episodes when the funding comes through.

The "Sam" puppet looks very good. The facial expressions are well done and a real step up... I'm an old fan from the first times that Gerry's shows were aired in the early sixties.. Now I have the Firestorm Theme in my head again. Talk about an earworm. Nice to see how things are progressing with this. Now we just have to wait for some more on the Terrahawks reboot which probably won't be too far behind. The end theme is also a great earworm too.

Wow! I'm impressed how much the animatronics has progressed even in the short time since the pilot minisode; the skin texture in particular is very realistic. If this is what you can produce on a shoestring I can't wait to see what you can come up with on a full budget. Hope we'll see this in production before too long. PS I'd forgotten how catchy the theme music was - I've been humming it all afternoon!
