George Gerswhin and this orchestra so perfectly encapsulates all the feelings of being in love, the joy, silliness, flirtatiousness, passion, joy, appreciation, romance. I cannot help but be overwhelmed with affection for the one I love when I hear this piece, I'm gonna lean her backwards and give her a big kiss when I see her next ❤ music is majesty and Orchestras like these are truly the pinnacle of human achievement. My appreciation for this is boundless.

One reason this performance is so special is its subtly. The conductor, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, slows the tempo and holds down the noise. When the musicians are are excellent, as are the Frankfurt Orchestra, playing crisp and pure, there's no need for bombast. Most conductors run Gershwin too hard and fast and loud. He was a artist. Not a truck driver. He deserves this. Cudos and bravos.

I love this orchestra conducted by Andrés Orozco-Estrada. Though it can be observed many changes in the musicians, quality of interpretation never varies. Happy to find Clara at her flute. The brass with saxo sounds great. Trumpet magnificent. Strings as well. Thank you to HR FRANKFURT to allow us to enjoy the best performances.

Fantastic work by the director of the filming of this piece to time the right camera shots to key moments and the musicians performing them; the trumpet, glockenspiel, Celesta, violin, flutes - even the small snare part and the crash of the cymbals, not to mention the director of the orchestra. Wonderful! Thank you for posting this (especially without ads).
