Promenade (Walking the Dog) from “Shall We dance” - Gershwin wrote this as part of a dog walking sequence taking place on the promenade deck of an ocean liner, and titled ‘walking the Dog’. In 1960, George’s brother Ira had it published as a solo piano work, and changed the title to “Promenade”. The lovely contemplative pace and expressive middle section make this a special musical moment.. I used a Roland RD SX700 keyboard
